We stayed 3 nights at the Alqueria and we really loved it. We had an apartment with our own little patio. But we found it more relaxing to stay in the common areas, especially the terrace in the great garden with beautiful views on the landscape and the village of Adrian. It was peaceful there when we relaxed with a beer or a glass (or bottle) of their homemade wine. Don't expect a five star tourist hub, they are very ECO orientated and grow (partly) their own vegetables and grapes. The staff is not 100% professional, but they are young and very friendly, helpfull and relaxed. With the food is the same: not 100% five star level but very tasteful with a surprising fusión between Spanish, arabic and african cuisine. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable,the swimming pool was a great extra and  again : staff was very helpfull and friendly. When you go there you have to realize that you are not staying in an elite touristic Park but in an ECO surrounding, that is narrowly connected with the earth and history of Las Alpujarras. They built the Alqueria with different casas and patios against the hill as if it were a village.  Also that gave us a certain familiar or community- like feeling. So we enjoyed our stay very much, we liked their wine and their menu and felt welcome and connected to their ideas and how hard they practice them . So staff of Alqueria de Míriam, thank you very much. We will definitely be back some time.

A nice and relaxed stay, with our mind and body connected to la tierra de las Alpujarras

We were lucky enough to enjoy the menu of the Old Night. The place is very quiet and with the beautiful mountain scenery. The food is exquisite and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere has been very warm, everything seemed like a real fairy tale. We recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a moment in peace and delight in the taste of delicious and unique dishes. A 10 to all staff and the place for if it has the best rating.

Spectacular 

We made a visit for a gift received with La Ruta de los Vinos. It was not a positive experience for any of the group for the following reasons: - If we were quoted at 11:30 a.m. to make a visit to the winery, which in about 15 minutes was done as it is a homemade winery for them and very small. - After that, we are told that the meal is at 14:30 p.m., when no one notified us by phone. - We commented on how we may be quoted to show the winery 3 hours before and then at the meal, the answer was that they can. - Remember that this is in the middle of nowhere 2 km from Cadillac. - We had to take the new car and go to the improvised Albondon. - We would recommend that the food is of any menu you can try in this town/village, but we would have to pay between 9 and 11 euros, and then we would have to pay for the first two and then we would have to go to the same place. - We would recommend that the first two and four people in the country, and then we would have to go to the same place, and then we

There is a lot of experience.

The place is very nice, and that was the second quarter of September. We found a very low occupancy, and we were able to enjoy all the peace of such a special place. The attention of the staff, with Marcella at the head, is very kind. The menu has some dishes different from what you might expect, but they are good and you can always find something that tastes good.

A special place.

OK....We were the only residents on the night we stayed in June 2021. We were given a room which was smaller than a broom cupboard.  However, Martin tried his best to improve this situation by providing a fan for the room. Plainly, this is not his fault but poor management. The worst aspect is the food which is absolutely dreadful. It would be difficult to eat elsewhere when staying here as there is nothing close to the hotel. We had difficulty finding anything available and then realised that everything was from the freezer. In an attempt to eat something freshly cooked, my partner chose eggs with ham and potatoes. it was absolutely awful. I had the carrillera de cerdo which was obviously from the freezer with chips provided on the side. It was edible but only just. Breakfast consisted of 1 piece of toast with nothing else, my partner asked for oil, which was brought but no salt. My partner is Spanish and used to good food, which was just not available. When we arrived there was a group of around 4 or 5 people eating in the bar. It was a freshly cooked estufada, but this was not available to guests. Oh yes, the cheese starter was utterly tasteless served with a bright orange/red jam from a jar. I cannot believe that this is the same owners as the Alex Polizzi days as she could never applaud this place. I realise that she stayed in a large 4 bedded room with a kitchen area, which was very misleading but, presumably, the food would have been of a similar standard if it was under the same management. The toiletries are very poor, the pool is green, the shower ancient. I value old furniture and fittings but they must do the job...a mirror needs to provide reflection, otherwise it is decoration and an alternative to use for shaving should be provided. I would avoid at all costs.

I wish i could echo other happy people!

This is a very special place. It´s out of the way in the lesser visited part of the Alpujarras, but the surroundings are beautiful, the peace and quiet fantastic, and the walks in the area very much worthwhile. We stayed in standard double rooms that were  a bit crammed, but acceptable. The restaurant was very nice, though fairly basic and service a tad unprofesional. The hotel is set up to feel like a small village and this works really well. Think tables and chairs outside the rooms as if you are on the village square and a fantastic pool with sweeping views towards the Sierra Nevada. In summer it must be really nice to stay here.

Special place. Great value!

We were eating. the site is great, beautiful landscapes, quiet, and the staff very attentive and friendly. the food was great. the site to repeat with my partner, sure. i recommend visiting it, sure you will repeat.

Route of the motorcycle

We went on a Monday, maybe it's not the best day... we didn't like house wine, expensive rations and little quantity, normal food. Posters; the chocolate scramble is burned, the chocolate cream with orange we don't like at all. This restaurant was recommended by the owner of our country house but we were a little disappointed.

A little disappointing.

We are regular guests at the Alqueria (last time 18 months ago), who are always happy to find a friendly, quiet place for a time out. It is great to enjoy the winter sun when weather is bad in the Northern part of Europe.

Lovely place

Stopped for one night on a long journey, enjoyed the tranquillity and views. Great dinner and good, simple Spanish breakfast. A shame the pool was not open before 10am would have loved a morning swim.
