Old hostel, not worth the price we paid, the shower dish was ambushed by the drain, looked like a pool, the shampoo and soap envelopes used before, there was no phone, no WI-FI and only one TV had a couple of channels. room was very noisy, couldn't sleep. towels and saunas were dirty and the mattresses were in such bad shape that if you turned around you would tear off the ribs of the iron bars that stood out like puzzles.

Little problem with language, the rest is OK. Hostel is close to the metro station of main line of metro. Shops and cafe are near the hostel, nice rooms cleaned everyday, obliging service,the elevator inside.

It's a great location, in the middle of the neighborhood, well served by everything, with free and paid parking in the vicinity. Average room, but good for our use, we were around all day.

A room with a very simple bathroom.The views were different from an avenue, which even though we were on the fifth floor, there was still a lot of noise and there were good windows.One detail was that it had air conditioning.The bathroom sometimes smelled of pipes.

Quality price, well

The hotel is very old. It's a long way from the city center and the sea. The metro is nearby. But, I came to the city at night when the metro was already closed. I was taking some kind of night bus. I thought I wouldn't make it and I'd spend the night outside.:)) The room is clean. And yet, I don't think I'll stop again.

I was in a single room, a really small room not to mention the bathroom, however the bed was 1 square and a half. Every day the towels are changed and the bed is reworked. There is TV in the room. As for the location, the hotel is located 2 steps from the Fabra i Puig metro station on the L1 red line and at night you can return by taking the night bus N3 from Plaza Catalunya. For just over 30 euros a night in Barcelona, I think it's a good compromise for those who want a bed to sleep and a private bathroom.

For those who don't have too many demands

Very well located, next to Sant Andreu station and metro. 24-hour reception service and very friendly. Clean rooms with bathrooms!! Next to the hostel there are cheap bars for breakfast and kebabs ruquisimos.

Very good experience.

I stayed at the Hostal Ballestero for 4 days with my boyfriend. Perfect location with bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the metro (L1) just 2 minutes walk that connects the center in 15 minutes. Plus the street is full of very nice shops and it's just as quiet. The positive things are the great location and cleaning of the room, with free wifi, private bathroom (complete with everything) and air conditioning. The negative things are the size of the room (really very small, but acceptable if you come back just to wash and sleep) and their location (one attached to the other, you hear when the people in the room next door go to the bathroom), the lack of phonics and shampoo, there is no pretence in any of the rooms and there is no room in the city and the people who do not have the full refreshments and do not talk to the inhabitants of the city of Barcelona conclude that they do not have the necessary personal advice and they do not want to go to the city of Barcelona.

Good location.

The hostel is very welcoming, the staff is very kind, sympathetic and always available. Especially the owner, a gentleman in his 60s who even recommended the places to see! Being a hostel the room is small but not too much, with private bathroom with tub, air conditioning and various other necessities! In addition, our room had a small terrace that looked very nice on the road. The hostel is very close to the red metro station, the main line, Fabra i Puig, will be less than 50 m! Also around there are both supermarkets and pastry shops. What to say, we spent little and we were really satisfied!

It's a really nice hostel with great staff.

uite noisy and tiny accommodation. The windows not tight, and rusty pipes in a bathroom. Not very clean place. The price much too high for such a place. No kettle neither a toilet brush. I wouldn't like to stay there once again in case my next visit to Barcelona. The only good thing about the place was a location - the train station and metro which are within a few minutes’ walk. Lots of cafes and shops around. The desk staff unhelpful as they speak only Spanish so you should learn some Spanish before going there.
