Booked the apartment through booking.com for a hen party after seeing great reviews on there. After coming on here and seeing horrendous reviews I was dreading coming and extremely nervous to see what awaited us... but I was extremely surprised. There was 5 of us staying and the guy (whose name escapes me) met us in the apartment with keys and information. Plenty of room for us all and a fantastic location - about 5/10 minute walk to Universitat and 10/15 to Plaça Catalunya. Also the aero shuttle stops at both of those so easy to get to the airport. Basic amenities but a shop close by so you can get food and keep it in the kitchen. 4 bedrooms - One room had no blind and one room the single bed was broken but we just put the mattress on the floor. Hot water can run out so be quick in the shower. Cute little terrace with a table and chairs. To be honest, we were out and about for a lot of the time and this was a perfect base for us. Close to everything and a place to sleep. Very happy with it. For what you pay, you can’t expect 5* luxury but I thought it was good value. We were charged city tax on arrival but this is because it wasn’t charged by booking.com 

Very surprised

Recently stayed here with a hen party of 5. Served us well for the time we were in Barcelona. Very spacious with adequate amenities. One of the single beds was broken which meant one of our party had to put the mattress on the floor for our stay, but we managed. It does get noisy outside at night so I recommend taking earplugs, but I imagine this is to be expected in a busy city. If you’re looking for basic accommodation then this will suit you.

Basic but does the job!

They charge a "tourist tax" and cleaning costs on arrival. In cash - 40euros for our group.
If you don't mind this the location is good and the apartment is ok. Basic rooms, items like kettle and bed covers were packed away... not the best place I've stayed!!

HIDDEN COSTS

Do not stay here at centric Garcia apartments they broke in using another key card and broke into our room and stole belongings avoid this company do not stay here. Shifty guy charged me 80 euros cash for cleaning charges in the start too

This place is bog standard student accommodation and not Exclusive apartments as advertised. We actually booked through booking.com, it looked great - a family of 6. When we arrived it looked nothing like the photos - dirty, unkempt and a disgusting bathroom with a blocked sink. We spent almost 700 euro for a three night stay. We contacted the company who did absolutely nothing other than condescendingly inform us that we wouldn't get anything better for our money in Barca. We asked for a partial refund which they said they would give us on the one condition that we left a "good" review on booking.com so as to not lower their rating. 
booking.com have been informed - and luckily we complained through them directly so they are aware of the almost black mail tone that "Basarol Apartments sl" are conducting with their side of the correspondence. We will not get a refund but more importantly to me I do not want anyone else to be deceived or robbed by dealing with this company. They own various apartments in Barcelona we actually stayed at No.9 Carrer de Sant Domène, Gràcia (but the rooms are virtually the same as listed here - same company - same name -  just impossible to find by searching via the address).

I wish I'd seen these reviews before - please avoid this company!

Hello, we had 5 friends in the apartments of CARRER DOMENEC and the experience was a disaster. we were asked for a bank card for payment and as a guarantee. we signed a contract and they did not leave a copy. the apartment is normal and something was not working well but nothing serious (a coffee roundabout, a sofa bed that had a bad opening..etc) the same day of entry we were charged the full charge on the card that we had left as a guarantee. at the exit of the apartment we were told nothing more and no one accompanied us to check that the apartment is in perfect condition as we left it. one week later I got a call from the people responsible for this company to tell me that we broke a deal and that we have to pay them. the next day we were told that we did not break the deal and that nothing was wrong with the sofa that accompanied us.

Be careful with your credit card.

I stayed at the Centric Apartments National Palace in November 2017.  Firstly I was not happy to be asked to pay 35 euros for electricity for the weekend.  I also paid 35 euro for the cleaning, when the place was not clean when I arrived.  So this cleaning charge is another money maker for the owner.  THEN when i arrived home I checked by credit card  account and realised I had been charged twice for the weekend stay.  This took time to sort out via booking com pany.  Would not stay in a private apartment again.  My advice is stay in a hotel as the price you see is the price you pay with no hidden extras, also a hotel will have staff there on arrival.  I had to contact owner and wait for him to arrive.  Avoid the Centric Apartments Barcelona

Over charged Daylight robbery

noisy, cold, absolute awful! Just pay a bit more and stay in a hotel. The noise abov and below started from 2000 until 0700. You can hear everything! The fittings in the bathroom were ripped out and the heating was broken. What seemed a great idea with nice photos ended up just cheesing me and my family off. Never again!

Holy crap !! DO NOT STAY WITH THIS COMPANY IN THESE APARTMENTS

Apartment very well that after real rooms and very quiet. Then some negative points lock the door locks and so a risk of staying locked out what happened to me for 10 minutes dry hair missing in the bathroom while mentioned in the description I like balcony instead of a terrace and not equipped with mobility as mentioned in the description, so impossible to have a breakfast outside TV didn't work a room with moisture problems fortunately we didn't have them. and last thing the housekeeping just needed for such an apartment.

It's not much better!!

We stayed in this apartment at the end of January, a really nice house, four bedrooms, kitchen, two bathrooms, a small terrace, wifi, ikea furnishings, central station surrounded by shops, the guy who gave us the keys Alejandro was very kind and available, the only downside was the cleanliness of the apartment, not very clean, I hope they can improve on this because it is a really nice and strategic place.
