I am grateful that we were offered an upgrade to a larger room. It would be nicer to know ahead that the second room option is only the bedless (Ondol) one.

2 rooms = 1 room with bed + 1 room floor sleeping

its 5 minute walk to sand beach and beach is very shallow so perfect for families and kids. The hotel is basically located inside a small town so there is lots of restaurants in walking distance. Hotel is a bit old, so do not expect any fanciness. The lobby is far too fancy compared to the rooms.

I would return if I was daemyung member, that would probably give me 50% discount. Otherwise I think its too pricy.

Nice hotel. I do not know rooms but we had dinner there which was very delicious and we enjoyed it. Very close to beach. Hotel has coin laundry and tumble dryers available. I think stay might be ok there.

No one speaks english, if you are not korean or chinese be prepared.
They do NOT clean the rooms at any time during your stay, there are NO bath towels at all (there is not even the possibility to rent some), NO wifi!!!
We rented the family room and the website did not say that the main bed was a Korean bed = a futon. Impossible to sleep if you are not used to it. When we asked to change rooms, the staff was really unhelpful and clearly did not take at all. 
Our room was in a different building, with view on the AC. 
This place was the worst in terms on value for money.  We paid $150 per night.

Avoid absolutely!!

I stayed with friends in apartment type room with sea view. It's wide and feeling like at home. It's just near to the beach. The sea is blue and there are watersport around. Peaceful place in the morning.
It's great place if you go with large group. We visited on October 2011.

Place at Seaside of the island

we went there with 3 adults and 3 children. It was a fantastic hotel. The location is near the beach, the environment is a perfect resort for the family.  Earlier we thought that we have paid for room that comes with breakfast. But the person in charged said that no rooms come with breakfast. I must have read wrongly somewhere, so please double check when you do booking. other than that. The family will be staying in this hotel again in our next visit. For those considering renting a car, you must. It is safe to drive in Jeju, the korean drivers are incredibly patient.  Please make sure the given GPS in english or whatever languages you have asked for is able to recognise telephone numbers, ours cant, it gave us a very hard time to locate the places of attraction and hotel.

Beautiful Location - perfect holiday

We were disappointed with the 3 nights' stay. There was no house keeping at all. I had to wash the toilet, sweep the floor and empty the rubbish bins. Out of 5 coin washing machines, 2 to 3 were not working. Long queue to wash up the clothings in the late night. No bath towels provided at all.

We stayed at Daemyung for two nights.  The location is decent for going to attractions on the Northern part of the island.  The rooms are spacious and have a kitchen area to cook in, if desired.  However, the restaurants at the resort are quite good, so why trouble with cooking and cleaning?  Our room had two bedrooms.  One room had a bed and the other room was traditional Korean style with mats on the floor.  As mentioned, the rates are very high for non-members.  If you do decide to stay here, I recommend paying the little bit extra to have an ocean view.  The view is quite spectacular on the ocean side.

Good restaurants

The hotel was in an isolated area far from attractions, The work out room, and sauna was tied together so you had to be nude in there to even work out. The staff did not speak English which was very hard to communicate. As the occupant you have to pay for extra towel, and you are only entitled to one television channel...
