Riekie always makes an effort to accomodate us.  Staff always very friendly and everything is always neat and just lekker

Always the best stay

The place is clean and quiet. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. I would recommend this place to all my friends that intend to visit. On my next business trip, I will definitely come again


Excellent stay

Clean, beautiful and friendly. We can recommend Dunwoodie to everyone. Thank you for taking such good care of us and being so flexible . we have stayed twice now at the lodge and we can recommend every time.

Business related trip

Riekie is always helpful and Dunwoodie suits our needs.  Jukskei SA makes use of Dunwoodie Lodge's facilities often and they do not dissapoint.  Meals are always prepared on time and tasty.  The conference facilities are also prepared for us with notebook, pens en water.

Dunwoodie Lodge

Not a good experience at all. The room was not  clean, the sink was blocked. The towels had a very bad smell. There were old tooth paste marks on the curtains in the bathroom. I can't see how this is a 4 star lodge!! The pool was not clean. I would not recommend Dunwoodie travel lodge at all.

Dunwoodie travel lodge

We were told we could book in after 14h00. On arrival we had to wait to be booked in. No person at reception. The room was already paid for. When going to our room, it was not ready, this was past 14h00 as told. Then we were given another room, but we had to pay in extra amount, as if it was our fault the room was not ready! Terrible room that we had to stay in, the shower cover on the floor was broken, and we had to make sure our kids did not get injured while showering. The noise was unbearable and with people entering after 01h00 in the morning, this was not very nice. This can surely not be a 4 star place. The personnel was very unfriendly and very un-assisting. I will never stay in this place ever again and I will surely not recommend this place to friends or family. I am very sorry about booking at this place.

Worst I ever experienced

Stayed here in October with family. It was nice and clean and quiet. Rooms were very comfortable and had a roof fan and air con . Can do with a bit of paint in the bathrooms. 
Didn't have breakfast but good quality for money.

family stay

The reservation and book-in procedure was rather painless, but there is where it stopped.  I specifically requested a "double" room (i.e. with a double bed), but instead were booked into a room with twin beds (pushed together to make a "double" bed, where my husband ended up in the middle on the base of the bed as the beds separated from each other).  The walls around the bed were dirty with handprints and marks and there was a watermark on the ceiling above the bed. To sour the experience further, there was no coffee, sugar and milk at the so called "coffee-making facility".  The kettle also had to be moved from the dressing table to a table next to the wall were a plug was - however, the plug could not be used as it was hanging out of the wall.  The breakfast was mediocre at best.  We had eggs, fried tomato, red viennas (yuk) and the most horrible mince mix for breakfast - it tasted like someone added a cup of sugar to the mince.  I went away hungry (R60.00 p/p for breakfast, this is absolutely not worth the money).  There was yogurt and "fruit" available, but that came out of a CAN - from a 4* the least you could expect is some FRESH  fruit!  Upon our departure we mentioned the problem with the plug and lack of coffee in the room to the lady at the front and her response was very nonchalant declaring that we should have mentioned it the night before and she would have woken up the staff to refill the coffee - there was also no water pitcher in the room, had to get water from the wash-basin in the bathroom.  Will not stay there again - there are much better 3* establishments in-and-around the area.
