There is one word for Cliffhanger Cottages  wow!  The view of the mountains is majestic. Area is very peaceful and cottages private. The cottages have everything you need and more. Very clean and neat. A definite must, well enjoyed and we would really like to visit again 

This place is a must

Lovely quiet getaway high up on the hillside overlooking pure forest. The unit is completely off-grid with it's own filtered rain water and electricity. Everything was very neat inside the unit and you can tell that Ingrid puts in care and attention to detail. In summer it can get very hot but luckily there is an air conditioner and fan. All in all a lovely stay!

Beautiful spot and easy admin. I know they don’t seem to necessarily go together but they do. Pre information excellent with all details required and then you arrive and you have a great cottage with excellent views and a super peaceful place.  We didn’t do a lot of cooking but we could have.

Beautiful and peaceful. Would go back

This was one of the most spectacular and incredible places we have been to! Exactly what we needed on our honeymoon. The cottage was superbly decorated and immaculate presented, totally private with amazing views over the tree canopies of the forest. The host Ingrid was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome, also advised us on hikes in the area which we went on and loved. Ingrid also recommended the ladies that came to the cottage to perform a aromatherapy couples massage, an experience like no other!  A few days of absolute perfection!

A Place of Perfection

We stayed only for two nights and enjoyed every second. The location is close to Totties Market that’s open on Sundays - they have a great Sunday lunch. We walked the Circles in the Forrest route and did the 9km route followed by a swim at the Jubilee Creek. What a wonderful stay we had. Before we arrived Ingrid (the owner) phoned us to make sure we are OK and also checked in when we arrived with advice on things to do. Thank you Barry and Ingrid, you have a beautiful location and fantastic cottages to stay in!!

Breath taking views and beautiful accommodation

What a fabulous place! A real find! 
Bursting with sounds and sights of local bird-life. 
The dawns are an experience of their own. Sit on the balcony and just soak in the peace.
Even the Load Sharing power cuts that are country-wide made this place even more romantic and special. 

A Room with a view !

You could not ask for a more beautiful place. Everything you would want is there: the incredible view, all amenities, little touches like the Ellie towels, even the outside pottery basin that drips in to the birdbath. Best of all was waking up to that view, and if you sleep with the door open you get woken up by the chirping of birds. Definitely worth a return visit.

This venue is a great getaway for a couple, to relax and unwind.

Everything you need is available in thee venue and the host are helpful and accommodating

Beautiful

The Hedge is so lovely you just want to stay forever! The hosts Ingrid and Barry make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.Little touches like Ellie folded towels, lavender corsages on the bed with a chocolate,handmade soap in the shower-not to mention the comfortable bed and bedding! Did I mention the view?! And the peace! It’s just beautiful!

Breathtaking views!

We were fortunate to experience Cliffhanger Cottage beginning of Spring and we cannot stop raving about it. From the warm welcome, location, and all the amenities and little touches - this was the most wonderful experience we had for a while now. 
The cottage is overlooking the most amazing forest of Knysna. The interior and space of the cottage are comfortable and all so well appointed, with all the amenities one would need. 

Waking us to these views is so incredible and rejuvenating. 

There is a hot tub too for those magical sunset evenings. 

We loved it and will definitely be back!
