We have stayed here couple of times in the past years. 
Firstly, its very difficult to find the free room over the weekends in the main season. They are usually booked in advance due to the weddings or events in Modra (and there are many)
The rooms are just fine but nothing extra. We got a room under the roof, so in the summer it can be very challenging. The doors did not fit properly and could hear everything&everyone in the hall. The beds are tragedy - extremely soft matrace to sleep on.
Smoking should be prohibited in the lounge as there is cigarette smell in the whole area.
Breakfast its either a la carte or buffet (depending on the number of guests). The staff is probably underpaid, based on their miserable faces. Smoking at the bar and chatting while we were waiting there ready to order, they did not refill the buffet regularly. To sum up the service was terrible, rooms OK. The fact is, there are not many places in Modra to choose from, and the location of this hotel is literally few steps from the town center.


Mixed feelings

Two little beds on bank summers... water room to review: badly fixed sink faucet and black syphon straw... and clogged... in the morning we were told to leave now now at 10am... hotel in its juice... which we were disappointed: we have to wake the staff or the boss by calling to go home the night after our party... very archaic... and not practical.

Not going there

Cozy spot in the alley approaching the center of Modra, 20 min. from Bratislava. Very nice, interesting and clean interior. The great kitchen at great prices. Very good prices for accommodation
Location in the wine region of the Little Carpathians. Good base for hiking trips to the surroundings.

Perfect stay close to Bratislava

Very nice hotel, large and very cozy rooms. Towels are changed every day. There is Wi-Fi and parking inside the hotel. Great breakfast both sweet and salty. Very polite staff.

Comfortable hotel

We went to Mordo around 21:00, one of the first hotels in the center of the city. We stayed, the hotel had a room for two on weekends, although the hotel was nice, very pleasant. The staff was friendly, in the old style.

Modra is the Carpathian wine road.

Modra is in the heart of the Slovak wine country - no, I didn't know Slovakia made wine either. The Hotel Sebastian is a charming place to stay, with en suite rooms at 56 euros a night from Monday to Thursday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They let us use their computer to print our boarding passes and they rearranged the furniture in the lobby so we could watch England's abject surrender to Iceland in the Euro 16 tournament. With hindsight I wish they'd been uncooperative! The rooms are on the small side but well thought out. They are impeccably clean. The furniture was classy and the entrance is down a delightful glass ceilinged passage. Parking is in the courtyard.

Charming hotel at a nice price

Wedding service, set up, food perfect. Breakfast very basic. Good value for money. Great efficient AC in the room. Parking is very bad - the entrance very narrow with high jump so you can damage the car. Only beer and coke in the minibar. Nice bathroom.

Wedding stay

Clean hotel - small rooms limited by ceiling height. Only one chair in room for two occupants. No safe in room. A little above the standard Slovak hotel. Restaurant in hotel accommodates large groups and sacrifices services to other guests. Limits access to public spaces for guests allowing only the large group to use. Cater to large groups at the expense of other hotel guests. On third morning (Monday) did not have breakfast except for cereal and limited fruit. Did serve eggs when requested - no meat and cheese as usual breakfast fare. Served a first class family dinner the day before; service very uneven. 

Nice hotel in Modra 

When you decide, where to eat in Modra, it can get rather difficult, if you don't want anything plain, but also not too special (and expensive :D ).
This place has yet never failed us. We come for lunch with my family and there is always a nice offer of the lunch menu, including a meaty meal, a vegetarian meal and also some stable offers, if you dislike the first two.
Plus, we really enjoy the nice, clean, well-furnished interieur.
A lot of locals stop by, the staff already knows a lot of them, and is very friendly.
Almost no waiting time.
The only problem is the lack of parking spaces.

Our favourite Modra lunchplace

It's a very nice place for a tourist. It's not a big city and it's not a big hotel either, but it's very cozy and attractive.
