Great clean hostel with an excellent location. The MRT station is of walking distance. The Mustafa Centre is near. They also give free toast (with jam or peanut butter) and coffee for breakfast. What's best about this hostel is their friendly and helpful staff which happens to be a fellow Filipino! They are also helpful with planning your trip around Singapore.

an awesome hostel on a budget!

Great little hostel, very clean and compact. Free breakfast and friendly staff. Loads of power points and super fast free WiFi.  Would recommend if you are on a budget. Great location within walking distance of MRT. 

Awesome place!

This is my second time staying at fernloft hostel. It has proven that it is clean, cheaper and friendly. Ms Sen and her team are friendly and happy to attend our needs. I even chatted with other tenants and practice other foreign languages. The location is in the center of the china town, so many shops and cheap variety restaurants. Definitely, i will come back again with my friends. Keep up the good work.

clean, cheaper and accessible

when most of people have difficulties about finding best place to stay in Singapore that are fit in according their budget Fern-loft is one of the best options you can get, especially if you trying to find a place just to sleep and spending most of your time to explore the City.

Best Place to stay in Singapore for limited Budget

Do yourself a favour and don't stay here. Please. Massive bed bug infestation throughout the entire hotel. They confirmed they knew about it and still took our money. They then said we could get a refund the next day before we checked out. They then didn't turn up to work before we left in order to not pay us back (despite the fact that we left at 10). Completely awful service the entire time and a complete lack of caring from any member of staff. Toilets were also dirty and falling apart.
Horrible place that still owes us a lot of money and refuses to answer to any emails. The most unprofessional place I've stayed in throughout south east Asia. 

Bed bugs and awful service. 

For us, it's a pretty bad place to stay. You just have to be aware that the loft is a hostel. However, our basic double room was not very inviting. No windows, dirty, sticky (air conditioning, though available).... A community bathroom in the hallway, up to 2 square meters in size with shower and toilet in one (without shower curtain, i.e. after the shower the bathroom is flooded). Breakfast can be served, labrig toast, coffee, tea, a little fruit. Positive is the location, near the mrt, restaurants, right in Little India. Also, the wifi worked very well and quickly!

No windows, sticky and uninviting

We were given a room for 4 people with a bed that was a dwarf, almost without light and ventilation. The saunas were dirty with hair and spots. When I told them that if they didn't have another room free, they gave us the next one that was something better, something bigger but was just as dirty. In the end we managed to get the saunas changed, but the hostel itself and especially the bathrooms are dirty and smell fatal. There were mattresses and headboards in the hallways. Breakfast is machine coffee or tea and some toast. The staff doesn't explain anything to us about the city and is also a little far away from most of the places to visit.

 A bad option.

Friendly youth hostel, combined with a coffee shop. BIen located in the city, in the Little India neighborhood. Smile staff, facilitating stay, and giving advice from Singaporeans, especially for the charming Jovy.

Bedroom friendly in the middle of Little India

We spent 3 nights here and it was 3 too many. The lobby still looks very promising and inviting, but the multi-bedroom is the opposite. We were in a 20-bedroom that was too small for so many people. Partly it was 3 sliced up beds with no wires attached and you had to watch how to get to your bed now. Also, the floor was extremely furnished as the room was much too small. In our case (3-bedroom) the outside was probably a kind of balcony o.o) just a wooden dressing room so the street noise was very present. The breakfast room was also not as good as a daily shower. For a shower shower shower, you had to give a shower and a toilet, and of course, it was not as bad as it was in the bathroom and it wasn't as bad as it was in the bathroom.

Not in the 20's dorm!!!

The hostel is great for backpackers who intend to stay for a day or two. We stayed one night, recommended by a friend of a friend. We had to walk a lot because we got off at the wrong MRT station (Little India). The nearest one is Farrer Road, in the basement of the City Square Mall. We were lucky because a member of staff, Gowar, made things easy for us and let us register before the hour as they had a room available. It was very nice and pleasant. I recommend the hostel to friends who are going to stay for a night or two. Thank you because we were very comfortable and could use the WiFi SG.
