A beautiful riverfront hotel, the Siki is a great base in the heart of St. Louis island. The location is great for exploring the historical island, as well as walking over to the coastal fishing village. There are plenty of eating places within short walking distance as well. The hotel is a renovated historical building, with a central courtyard, wooden floors, and high vaulted ceilings. Our room was large and airy with a shuttered window looking over the street and the entrance door off the interior courtyard. The bed was a little hard, but we seemed to get a good sleep anyway. The AC worked fairly well, the Wifi was a bit slow, and the (very small) TV didn’t work at all. The shower was good but exhibited low water pressure at times. The onsite restaurant was decent - we had an amazing chicken yalla dinner one night. The breakfast was OK, a little anemic, a fairly small and basic buffet style affair. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend this place to other travelers looking for a good base in the heart of St. Louis.

Nice stay, loved the location and history.

I booked two nights in low season period. It costed more than $165 and in the room there was half-used shower gel, no shampoo and not even a single bottle of water. Breakfast was very poor unfortunately… location was nice and the breakfast staff was kind but the hotel overall quite overpriced. On top i saw a cockroach next to the sync on the last day…

Good location but very overpriced

This is a nice hotel located in the old town on the island. Food was good for dinner and breakfast basic but adequate. The rooms are fairly basic, but clean and everything worked. Overall a good hotel for a night or two in St Louis.
Easy walking distance to explore the old town centre.

Nice hotel, centrally located in the old town

Best hotel in Saint-Louis.  Beautiful architecture and great location, you can easily walk the whole island from here.   Great AC and overhead fan which was a necessity.   You can use the pool at the Hotel Flamingo two blocks away for 4000 CFA per day. 

Beautiful hotel in Saint Louis

The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with everything you need. It has a very good restaurant with some Spanish specialties. The staff is very attentive. Good hotel for business trips or tourism. Ideal for getting to know the area.

The best hotel to explore the north of Senegal.

We decided to order three tapas and one dish a day with a friend (the portions are plentiful and prices average). When we noticed our dissatisfaction the very kind staff decided to send us the owner who answered in a very arrogant and defensive way boasting that it is not his only restaurant without giving the opportunity to talk about it, besides referring to himself with phrases half in Spanish and half in French and it is good that I understand both languages.

High Expectations but Low Satisfaction

This hotel is in very good condition, very well located on the island. We were disappointed with our passage because of the size of the room. We had requested a higher room, our resa was accepted but we ended up with a much lower quality (and size) room. We would have preferred to see our reservation request rejected. WiFi room very bad. So make sure your reservation is in accordance with the affected room. We had the management's apology but the disappointment is still there.

I spent one night there, on the weekend, a very quiet, charming place, the room clean, equipped with everything necessary.

Very quiet hotel with good price/quality ratio

We where looking forward to attending the Saint Louis Jazz Festival, everything planned and great company. We booked 4 rooms for 8 people at the Siki hotel 6 month in advance, really looking forward to a great weekend as the photos on their website looked great. Avoid the hotel at any cost, the owner does not care about his customers, the rooms are substandard and we have had no water for most of the first 2 days. The breakfast is a joke, we could not even finish eating our first breakfast as the tomatoes where rotten, the ham from the cheapest supplier made in Senegal. We traveled with kids and where never able to get a table in the hotel restaurants as the hotel owner priorities outside bookings vs taking care of their clients. While Senegal welcomes foreigners to open Businesses in Senegal, let`s make sure those that do get an opportunity are professional.

The owner does not care about his guests

The Siki Hotel is really very well located, in the middle of old St. Louis, but in a quiet street. The rooms are spread out on several floors around a beautiful, very well-designed patio. My double room was spacious, well-designed and carefully decorated. Besides, the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom was large, functional and very well equipped. The breakfast in the form of a buffet was very good. I had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant and I recommend it (Finally you can taste the tapas that are excellent!). The staff is very friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend this establishment.
