I slept in thia hotel in october 2023 for 4 nights. Good position for visit the city, reception is open 24H breakfast is avaible by menu a la carte until 11 A.M. Clean room, very helpful staff and good value for money.

Very good experience 

Nice quiet hotel in the center of Bucharest. With elements of Indian style in the interior. In the morning you can hear birds singing.
Check-in from 2 p.m. There are single rooms and a luggage storage room.

5-star hostel of the 1st sector

Bus 783 (cost 6 RON) from the airport to Piata Victoriei & then a 5 or 6 mins walk to the hotel. A quick & friendly check in by Daniel who, with my room key card in hand, also showed me to my 3rd floor room.
A nice sized room & even though I was travelling solo it was easily spacious enough for 2 people. Clean with a walnut laminate floor, luggage rack, large wardrobe, safe, extra towels, coat rack/hooks, work desk, tv, 2 armchairs, coffee table, fridge, double bed, smoke alarm, radiator, aircon & 3 spare electrical sockets. A small window & a door & panel (to nowhere, no balcony) meant an abundance of natural light, blackout curtains kept the room dark in the morning. No issues with noise from outside or inside the hotel. There was no kettle, tea or coffee in the room. There was no iron in the room but when I inquired at reception, I was given one & an ironing board immediately. Wi-Fi was password protected, quick to connect to, consistent with fast speeds & auto reconnected instantly.
My bathroom was a nice size, clean with tiled floor & walls, bidet, towel radiator, hairdryer, mirror, 2 small bottles of shampoo, wall fan/vent, towels, basin & unit, shower cubicle with shower head & hose on a riser rail, easily controlled shower valve with plenty of hot water & very good water pressure.
I went down for breakfast (07:30 – 10:00) at 09:10 & it was quiet. Table service only, ordered from the menu with fried eggs, omelettes, salami, yoghurt, cheese, toast, bread, jam, butter, melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, tea, coffee, orange juice, water & milk.
The bar was very quiet & far from expensive with Ursus Romanian lager costing just RON5.00 for a 330mls bottle. I had a great conversation there about Romanian history with David who spoke fantastic English & who covered the reception, the bar & breakfast.
The hotel has one lift & there is a shoe buffing/shining machine in the foyer. There is very little in the way of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops etc in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but the close by Calea Victoriei has a multitude of all of those. No more than 10 mins walk from the hotel on Calea Victoriei I found a great courtyard bar & bistro called Green Hours. Great staff & a chilled out atmosphere with 500mls tankards of draft Ursus lager costing RON12.00. It took me 25 mins to walk from the hotel & down Calea Victoriei to the old town, stopping several times on the way to take photos. Gare Du Nord station is the first stop from the nearest metro to the hotel. As I had loads of time & the weather was nice & dry, I walked to Gare Du Nord & that took me 20 mins & it was an easy straight forward walk. I must add that all of the locals that I asked for directions were more than helpful, friendly & generous with their time as language difficulties did occur often.

A little bit on the quiet side but still, a great stay.

I had a single room, and while I was doing tours most days, every night I came back and the bed was made, new shampoo and soap was waiting, and heat was on (if it was cold outside). They had a TV in the room and a safe (I didn't use either) and I always had hot water. They offer breakfast, but since I was gone so early most days, I didn't try the food, but it looked and smelled good! Also a bonus for me; there are cats on the property! If you're allergic, you may not be as happy as I was! It is on the outskirts of the city center, and around the corner from a major street with bus transport or you can walk straight to the middle of the city center. There is a mini market around the corner, and Spago restaurant only a few feet away. Everyone spoke perfect English, so I didn't have to attempt the few words of Romanian that I learned (I did elsewhere in the city, though). This is a good value for your money!

Good value for your money!

Hello we stayed in this hotel for three days from the looks of the pictures looks very nice clean but it's much more in terms of the location the hotel is well placed the first day of frying was on the towels they change them after three days we the first night after washing we put the towels to the floor in the bathroom hoping that the lady of the cleaning would change them the next day but instead it wasn't so we were told that the towels were said to be changed after three days but the frying is where of course we know that we are tourists and especially Italians we have to disburse told us the headmaster i.e. the only one who knows how to talk a little bit in if you want i can give you two towels from other people you make recipes for the people i.e. but as a suite of those is the already frying is the intention and you have to pay attention to how much you said the towels were said to be changed after three days but the frying where of course you know that we are tourists and especially Italians we have to disburse them

Don't be fooled by the look of the pictures

For someone who goes abroad four or five times a year, you have to bet on clean and functional hotels without too many stars, the Michelangelo Hotel is. Very central, with a nice courtyard full of roses that have withstood bad weather, tables with pools x smokers, staff who also speak Italian very friendly and professional, rooms and hotels in general very clean and orderly, excellent breakfast. Nothing to be excluded.

The hotel is small and very cozy. the room is very comfortable, and very clean. claudio, david and daniel, the concerti, were very pleasant and helped us with everything we asked for, we spoke with them in italian and english. the location is a little far from the center in the northern part of the city but those who are not bothered by the long walks are fine. it is worth recommending.

It is excellent.

Nice staff and great location. At 6 a.m. without any problem, we quickly settled in. No one had to wake up. But now it's time to update the room itself. The furniture is all morally obsolete. In the bathroom some contamination is no longer washed. At the same time, you have to give decent, good clothes, really white towels (; there is shampoo, yes shower gel.

It's OK.

BEWARE: When the clerk says:, "Don't worry, we will work out the price later"
$175.00 USD to clean two(2) loads of laundry
$150.00 USD to extent stay. (day rate)
...so many better choices in the city. So many lest "sleezy" clerks

Buyer beware

We stayed at the Michelangelo Hotel for 5 days for our holidays in Bucharest. It is about five minutes' walk from the metro station (Plaça Victoriei) and it is particularly convenient to visit the city. Don't be fooled by the reception (furniture a little retró) and a nice but a little packed courtyard: the rooms are quite clean, comfortable and functional. The Wi-Fi is free and perfectly functional. We did not take advantage of the breakfast service as, given the price, we agreed to do it in the various bars of the city so that you can experience the Romanian specialities.
