Among the few remaining accommodations, we found these cheap rooms. The rooms are above a bar and they're tiny and fatiguing, with three bathrooms in common.

Very narrow chambers

The hotel is located in front of the bus station. The establishment is out of age. Here you will be charged 28 euros for a very small room on the first floor. The windows overlooking the terrace of the coffee-restaurant are extremely noisy. It is impossible to sleep until 2 am. As a matter of hygiene, I found many long hair on the cover. The toilets, also out of age, are located outside. A room in this hotel would not be worth more than 18 euros a night. Also pay attention to the restaurant located below, fine, but where the rates are prohibitive, and where the cheapest dishes are systematically unavailable.

Too expensive and too noisy

My room was just on the terrasse side. Therefore, it was noisy until 1pm and I couldn’t sleep, which was a problem because I started my hike (rota Vicentina) on the following day. The mattress was uncomfortable. On the good side: it was clean, well-located and the restaurant was excellent!

Clean but noisy 

We stayed in the hotel for one night; we may have been unlucky but there was a buzz in the street all night and you keep going down the hallway, you practically couldn't sleep. The main problem is that underneath the hotel there is also the bar with the restaurant. After all, the room, very Spartan, was clean like the common bathroom.

It's better to avoid it if you can.

Old-fashioned guesthouse with two-bedroom, very small and not very clean, in the room there was not even a power outlet, four shared bathrooms with 10 rooms clean enough.

 To be improved 

We rented over a bar, with relative noise in the evening..! Tiny room, we couldn't keep 2 suitcases open! Mini-TV, still with cathodic tube, hanging almost on the ceiling. They made us charge as soon as we arrived (!). Smaller and dated furniture. Staff (which is then that of the bar) not particularly affable, except the grandmother who welcomed us, who, however, only speaks Portuguese. For breakfast (not included) we have to go down to the bar.

Very modest rentals, if you can't find alternatives is fine for a night...

Covas is a little unusual, we had a 1 night stay, 1 single room and a double room, and we quickly dubbed the place the "convent". The place is situated above a bar, the covas, and is a long corridor with small rooms to the sides. The beds a to hard for my liking and a bit to short. Toilets are acceptable, no complaints. There are 2 reasons I am not actually giving this place and average rating. It is a bit to expensive(20€) for the value and the location..  I should be fair and mention this was on the night of the wales-portugal semi finals in the euros, but the partying from the bar and streets made this a night with very little sleep, not optimal after 14 days hiking up the coast. I assume it is fine on an average weekday, could be an issue on the weekend. On the plus side it is right across the street from the bus station.
