Staying in a typical house, a dream of the grandmother of the current hostel manager. Small but full of charm and exceptional hospitality.

Do it again.

This is a family run business and the owner went out of his way to make sure that everything went well for me. I was impressed that this is a 500-year-old building that has been modified over the years in has  been brought up to date by the family. The hospitality here is excellent.  Although the rooms are small, they did not lack for anything... an excellent value.

Excellent hotel

stayed here for one night and loved everything about the place, a small family run B&B that is both charming and lovely, the owner was so nice and helpful and made us feel very welcome, we love the history of the place, there is an entrance to the wall just steps away from the b&b, our room was nice and cool, cozy and comfortable, the location is fantastic! the breakfast was great! this is one of the best place that we have stayed at! would love to come back! highly recommended!

Great find!

The hotel is located just outside the walls of Obidos. You can walk to the heart of the village in 5 minutes. The reception was the best, the owner Joan was very kind and welcomed us very well. What to do where to eat at our request, in other words availability at 100%.

This is an inexpensive and perfectly adequate B&B located just outside the medieval walls of Obidos.  If you are driving, there is easy parking along the walls right at the property.  Just across the street in the other direction is one of the best restaurants in town (Jamon, Jamon).  A quiet stay, a friendly innkeeper, a cheap price.  The only negative is the breakfast was not up to standards for a B&B.  No hot food is served, but that is a small flaw.

Bargain B&B

To celebrate an anniversary we decided to go to visit Obidos and what a wonderful place we chose to stay. A secular house, located right on one of the side entrances of the wall, very well restored, near restaurants that are easy to park. A 5-star service by John. A room with an excellent view. The only good point is breakfast, even though it's with fresh bread could have something kind or different. I recommend.

My home in Obidos

A trip back in time, a 500-year-old house, everything very neat and comfortable, John welcomed us and introduced us to the guest house, a very comfortable room for what he proposes.

Surprising and charming

The house has two floors: one where the owners live and another where they receive the guests. We were greeted by John, a simply fantastic guy! attentive, helpful, educated. Breakfast is prepared on time, according to what the guest wants at the moment. It seems like we are in the grandparents' house itself! Simple place, next to the wall and one of the entrance doors. On Christmas Day morning, we were presented with a book written by John's grandfather, and some Obidos postcards. With dedication and everything! We were in doubt about where to buy Christmas food for the Christmas dinner since we were leaving for Coimbra and everything earlier on the 24th of December. John directed us on everything, including by calling some places on the way to Coimbra, to check out other places that I recommend closing!

I'll give you a thousand notes.

Lovely 500-year-old house right by Óbidos walls. Very comfy room. Clean. Nice continental breakfast served by housekeeper. João, the owner saw us in and advised on places to eat. Great recommendations! Would definitely go back. Loved his family’s homemade ginjinha!
