Cosy Hostel was a God-send for me. This spring I travelled around, in and out of Portugal with Lisbon as my hub. I could never have done it without Cosy! Carla and Chaba are the owners and they are absolutely wonderful, caring, friendly and helpful. They create a wonderful, welcoming and clean atmosphere. Everyone I met at Cosy was extremely nice and respectful. This is not a hostel full of young backpackers. Many ages and many walks of like. The rooms have just 2 bunkbeds each so it is very comfortable and I often had a high degree of privacy. I also liked that there are 2 full sized bathrooms that you can use alone while you're in it! The kitchen is clean, orderly, sunny and friendly. The neighborhood turned out to be one of my favorites in Lisbon, just real people and at least one fantastic restaurant and a lovely Mercado across the street. And of course the one stop on the metro to the airport is IDEAL! I really can't say enough about Cosy, Carla and Chaba. This is a real mom-and-pop and clearly a labor of love and they spare none of either.

My Home Away From Home

We stayed only 1 night at hostel where there are very friendly people running it. We had a nice chat about the hostel and life in Lisbon and received many advices. The room was nice, clean and toilets and bathroom in very good shape. Ideal for those who are looking for hostel overstays.

Everything you need from hostel

We stayed in this adorable hostel for one night during our visit to Lisbon in June. Carla was a wonderful host and she was very kind to me when I was upset that the airline had lost my luggage (later it was found!). We stayed in a cute, comfortable room, enjoyed the breakfast, and were on our way the next day. It was such a lovely place and walking distance to the airport so perfect for what we needed. I hope to stay again one day!

Perfect for airport transfer!

Good, clear hostel in typical portuguese house and in typucal portuguese district. Location is close with railway station 20 min on the foot and near the airport. But if you have earlier fligh better -  book taxi.
Young couple  is owner of this hostel and i felt as i came to my old friends house. If you want to feel portuguese quite slowly style of life you can stay here.

Good hostel in portuguese family

Lisbon Cosy Hostel was the first hostel I have stayed and it couldn't be better. It is very cosy indeed, close to the airport (I went there walking), the employees were very helpful and there is a small market nearby if you want to buy something to eat.
The kitchen is very well equiped and if you can't catch the breakfast, they give two little breads and there will be tea, coffe and some crackers in the TV room in the morning.
It is not a problem if you forget your shampoo, since last guests may leave theirs (and people do) in a wooden box next to the bathroom.
Inside your room the locker is really spacious, it fitted my suitcase perfectly, but you will need a very big padlock and the hostel doesn't provide one. TV room is simple with two couch, a small TV and a bunch of books.
Now the problems I found were the stairs, in order to get to the reception and the rooms you must use the stairs. Furthermore, they need to improve the bathrooms a little bit: I could not find a place to leave my towel next to the tub and, in both of them, the shower does not have a support, so you must hold it all the time.

First time in a hostel, GREAT! Close to airport.

First stay of three nights in an AJ, the welcome at the top, the breakfast varied. We had a double room with private bathroom. A rather spacious but very poorly sounded room, bedside mattress was probably not a first-time youth because we would sink to end up in a sandwich in the middle of the bed.

The room was decent,  the hostel was also quiet policy pretty much,  which is definitely an added bonus,  the guests were respectful with things when I was there.   Certainly a good location for a stopover.  Everything was handled well and efficiently and with dedication.  The Hostel is fairly straightforward and simple.  The neighbourhood is relatively new (last 30 plus years perhaps).   

The only thing that kind of felt like I was a bit cheated afterwards,  was the price to just print off a boarding pass, one euro for apiece of black and white printed paper. Since it is so close to the airport,  it must be a common request.  All the other hostels I have stayed in during a trip around eastern Europe,  then back in Lisbon,  printed boarding passes,  train or bus tickets for nothing,   even when I offered,  they just did it with smile.  Saying that,   in the end,  I was out and went to a print shop.

I think if the price is high just to print these things,  it is a real shame,  as probably the Hostel could get an amazing rep. for helping weary travelers on overnight transit,  rather than trying to exploit that fact.  I think just to be aware of that all round.  I was not the only person to be surprised and a little dissatisfied,  like being taken advantage of.

Also,  I noticed the rug on the kitchen floor,  someone had slipped on it,  as the floor is very shiny tiled,  so I think that could be a hazard for older people especially.

Decent Hostel,  Nice people,

I just needed a place to sleep for one night, close to the airport and easily reachable by public transportation. Lisbon Cosy Hostel met all the "requirements" besides being extremely cosy where you feel like in a well-behaved vacation house with friends. The rooms have lockers and towels are included. My roommates were quiet, friendly and respectful, just like the hostel owners =)

Far better than I expected

We chose this hostel because it was close to the airport, but when we arrived we saw that it was further away than expected and so we couldn't walk but take a taxi. Even the bathrooms didn't hit us nice, there's mold on the ceiling and they're quite old.

Only 15 minutes' walk from the airport (without taxi and bus), a place to rest between two planes.Good general comfort with warm welcome.Good location for dining (restaurant, food).The Expo 1998 area is very nice just like the train station.Wifi and small de' perfect.JCR/Bordeaux
