Na Skarpie

As part of a tour of Mazury, Polska, we decided to stay 2 nights in Mikolajki, as its a beatiful lakeside town. We booked Hotel Na Skarpie, purely on it seemed to have an awesome view of the lake!! Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly front of house manager, who gave us a very warm welcome. Upon showing us to our room, she went as far as to insist on carrying my gf's suitcase, downstairs to iur room, which impressed me bigtime. As she was showing us to our room, she explained she had lived in Dublin for 11 years, & had recently returned to Poland. So straight away, I felt at home, as being from Dublin, hearing someone speak highly of my hometown was quite humbling. The room itself, very very spacious, huge bathroom with modern decor, fridge etc. But.... the SPECTACULAR view of Lake Mikojalki from our room & terrace.... that completely blew me away!!! The breakfast buffet was the best we ate all week, & service from all staff members extremely courteous & warm. The lady on reception was so helpful with any information/advice we sought, which I thought was a really nice touch. The Spa, which is included in your stay, was quaint & relaxing, & a nice way to freshen up after a day of exploring & sailing. I would 100% reccomend this Hotel to any would-be visitors to Mikojalki, even for the breathtakibg view of Mikojalki from the bar terrace, which was an amazing place for photo's & a perfect place to have a tipple & watch the sunset over the forest & lake!!!! I should also mention, the total price..... a complete bargain!! No frills, but it more than makes up for that with location, views & service with a smile!! Thanks for a great stay guys & see you next year for sure!!!!
