Aby uzyskać zwolnienie z konieczności zapłaty podatku, cudzoziemcy muszą przy wjeździe zapłacić za pobyt w obcej walucie (nie w chilijskich pesos) i przedstawić ważny paszport wraz z kartą migracyjną, którą otrzymali przy wjeździe do kraju.
