Very close to slec
Very affordable and the rooms was nice i would recommend this hotel
It really exceeds my expectation
You won't regret staying here and the staff were really friendly. And many thanks to agoda for easy booking! 


The place is very accessible. Walking distance from st. Lukes. Wifi is great on the 2nd floor. Water supply is very strong too. Staffs are approachable. Would be a good place if youre going for a medical checkup.

Good place and spacious 

Stayed here for my medical exam for my visa. Overall it was an okay room. You get what you pay for.

Pros:
- great price
- very close to St. Luke's
- aircon in the room is very cold
- free wifi
- cable TV
- heated shower
- comfy bed

Cons:
- no mini fridge in our room, so we had to throw our food
- wifi was not encrypted
- charged 100 pesos for two extra pillows
- all faucets were labeled backwards so it is hard to figure out
- little cockroaches came out in the CR at night
- soap scum all over the CR floor and shower
- no shampoo provided
- housekeeping didn't make up room, so the trash piled up
- no rug in the CR, so the room's tiled floor gets dirty
- no TV remote, so you have to unplug the TV

Medical

The establishment exudes an atmosphere of antiquity and somberness, especially evident in the dimly lit and eerie hallways. The expansive room, while lacking a musty odor, emanates a sense of age. The television, nearly dilapidated and devoid of cable, adds to the antiquated ambiance. To utilize the fridge, a charge of 100 pesos is imposed, and amenities such as bathroom tissue are conspicuously absent, with the provided soap being meager.

The most disconcerting aspect of my stay was the air conditioner, emitting a disruptive noise akin to resting in an engine room, exacerbated by intermittent street horns, rendering restful sleep nearly impossible.

On a positive note, the hotel enjoys a strategic location in close proximity to a police satellite station and the renowned St. Luke's Clinic, preferred by various embassies for medical examinations. The staff, despite the less-than-ideal conditions, remained notably friendly.

The internet wifi connection is very discouraging.

Regrettably, for those seeking a comfortable setting for business or transient leisure, this establishment does not come recommended.

I had the worst treatment from a front desk receptionist with Hotel Soriente. My family has always book here whenever we are around Manila as it is close to the areas we need to visit. But on November 18, 2017 I arrived super early at about 6am and I waited in the lobby area. At first I talked to the chinese looking receptionist named Charmaine asking if there is availability and what could be the possible earliest check in time. I was still waiting for my Dad and sister so I planned just to wait in the lobby instead of paying half the amount of the room rate for early check in. 

After few minutes the guard turned on the airconditioned and I was feeling very cold as its 6am in the morning. I was the only guest by the lobby so I ask the front desk politely if I could turn it off because I don't have jacket and obviously I looked very cold, her only answer is a cold "NO". I'm surprise as I thought they can save electricity by doing that but since its NO i just sitted and wait because my family arrives in about one hour.

After couple of minutes not even 10 mins. The receptionist called my attention and said I can't sleep on the couch. I didn't answer coz I was only sitting still and was on my phone and there's no way I would lie down on the couch as I only got there for 10 mins. and then once again she called my attention on an arrogant tone. I answered slightly with a tone on my voice that I am not sleeping. 

After couple of minutes she went out and she seemed like she talked to the security guard when she came back after 5 mins she asked if I am going to make a reservation. I answered I don't know yet because I want to decide once my family arrives and by her treatment it is making me feel if its comfortable to stay there. But since I am low battery and very tired I just planned to sit there because its the original plan where we will stay. 

But after this answer she told me I can't stay in the lobby area or rather "bawal ang tambay sa lobby". This has really made me mad because obviously she is kicking me out  and this is not the right way to treat a guest or anyone waiting for about 20 mins.  in the lobby area to make a decision whether to get a room or not. 

I felt very discriminated because I probably doesn't look very presentable at that time coz I came from a 12 hour trip didnt have a good sleep and look very wasted. All I wanted was to sit down on the lobby area and wait patiently for my family to arrive and rest. I ended up just leaving and staying next door on Mini Stop and we have to look around for the last minute where to stay.

Lesson is "ALWAYS LOOK PRESENTABLE SO YOU CAN GET THE PROPER TREATMENT FROM A FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST" if not then you get a low profile look and be discriminated that you are a "TAMBAY"

To the Management of HOTEL SORIENTE: 

In my entire life this is the only moment I became very mad with a hotel receptionist please review your code of conduct with your employees and I hope no one else gets this treatment.
