D & B Bluestar Resort was exactly as advertised. Located right on the beach,  the view is amazing. The rooms are very clean and the property well kept. My favorite thing though was the people. The owner actually cooked our made to order breakfast and the staff did their best to accommodate our every need. They helped arrange tours and transportation when we needed it, they offered laundry service, and they generally spent time getting to know us. I definitely recommend this location and will return myself if I’m ever lucky enough to travel the Philippines again!

Bagobo Beach Resort is a dreamy escape with a mesmerizing ambiance and an exceptional staff. The moment we arrived, the soothing ocean sounds and impeccable surroundings melted our stress away. The staff's warm welcome and impeccable service made our stay unforgettable. The culinary experience was delectable with fresh seafood and breathtaking sea views. Our room was pure luxury, and the resort's activities were a blast. If you seek paradise, look no further.



Unforgettable Beachfront Bliss

Great staff and very accomodating..The room was clean and the services are excellent. We had so much fun staying in the resort for sure we are going back here. Over all we are happy that we chose to have funnin this resort.

Good  times

Thumbs up:
-location. Situated in front of the beautiful beach of Panglao Island and slightly away from the busy and crowded resorts;
-staff. Courteous and approachable;
-free one hour use of videoke (what's not to like ;);

Thumbs down/things to improve:
-bathroom. You have to bring your own toiletries since toilet paper and small soap are the only ones provided;
-water is...salty :))
-room. Mattress is Too firm (although it was acceptable for me personally).
-transportation to Alona will cost you ₱150 (via their motorbike driven by their staff).

Generally, it's the typical/standard beach resort which is intended for resting and sleeping after spending a day outside - not really the type if you like "staycations" in your room. Still a good place to stay if the beach is your priority in Bohol. 😊

Good enough

Been there for nye 2016. The location is worthy since directly on a beatuful beach. Also the garden and the spaces around are very nice with a very kind staff. But unfortunately the room was not so clean (especially the bathroom) with quite poor furniture. It's a pity! Considering all, the hotel was a bit overpriced. 

Beautiful position but improvement is needed

We only planned to stay for 3 nights but end up adding one more night and its a unanimous decision...we just loved the beach. 

Here are the things that I like about the resort:

>Bagobo beach is situated on a peaceful beach front.

>Just a few steps and you are already on the beach. Very few people walking along its shore that makes the beach almost appears private and deserted.

> There are coffee tables, garden chairs, and recliners on the open lawn area where you can comfortably relax and simply gaze into the breezy open sea.

>Attentive staff. I really felt the hospitality (special metion to Ms.Tess who were very accomodating and cheerful)

>Good value for what you paid for.

Perfect Summer Getaway😀😀😀

If you're looking for a place to stay in Bohol, Bagobo beach resort is the perfect place to visit. From the welcome drinks to the food, everything was served promptly, where all guest were treated with the best customer there is. The entire place was generally clean and tranquil. Ideal for travellers.. newly weds honeymooners, dabarkads and family who really need a quiet place to rest where in you can simly retire yourself after a whole day of sea tour, land tour and other funfilled activities. The rate was highly affordable. No hidden charges whatsoever. From the lovely manager Miss Tess Galo, the driver, the receptionist Rhea and the helpers Felix and his buddy. We've enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Bagobo beach resort. The best place to escape from the hustle of busy city life. Good job guys. Worth a two thumbs up. Highly recommended.

Only 10 meters to the almost empty clear blue ocean right next to you. Very laid back, relaxed place.   But they have alot of improvements to fix if i would stay there again.

Only saltwater in the showers.
Terrible wifi who even didnt work half of our stay.
Alot of spiders/cockroaches.
Badly signed to find they way to the hostel.
Way to overpriced!!
Overpriced and very bad food. 5 minutes from there you could eat for a 1/10 of the price what they charged you.
Constructionworkers started 7 in the morning working on a new buildning next to us.

If the owners read this: Fix these simple problems. This could be one of the best places to stay on in Panglao!

But if u just want to relax on the beach with almost no people its a good place to stay

I had a wonderful time at the Bagobo Beach Resort. The place is quiet and is located right on a once-in-a-lifetime beautiful stretch of beach. Perfect for couples, families or stressed-out cities like me looking for peace and relaxation. If you want to mingle with the tourist crowd in between (going out, nightlife), you can easily get to the nearby Alona Beach in a few minutes by scooter (you can rent a scooter at the resort cheaply). Commercial mass tourism has not yet reached the place around Bagobo Beach and is in my eyes a secret tip. The rooms are neat and clean, the food and the operators as well as the staff of the resort are super friendly.
