Super hostel in Huanchaco! Very nice welcome, owner and his little-care housekeepers! The kitchen is perfect for making good little dishes and what about the terrace. Despite all the sand that goes home with the surfers it is very clean, big up to the very patient housekeeper.

Perfect for chilling

I love this place, it is clean, directly on the beach. The beds are comfi and the dorms clean. There is a chilled, communal atmosphere and I really liked the pizza/brownie initiative! The staff is just lovely, multilingual and I met other great travelers. I arrived for the second time and was welcomed so warmly. 

My second time

Very chill Hostel right on the beach. Room was comfy and clean, bathrooms also clean. Mostly a Surfer crowd so exactly what youd expect in a place like this. Nice outdoor sitting area to hang out. Always something going on in and around the Hostel. Place next door offers free morning Yoga. 
Staff was very friendly as well, like everywhere pretty much run by volunteers. 
Only downside is that if you wanna catch some sleep and theres something going on on the terrace it might be a bit noisy. 
If you have a moto they'll let you park it in their surfboard storage if you ask nicely.

Great Place to stay directly on the Beach

We stayed in the best private room (#11) with a view of the beach and its own bathroom. For a hostel that is basically run by volunteer surfers, the service is pretty good. But, since it is run by volunteers there were some mix ups (like we couldn't check into our room until 6pm) but that's to be expected for a super cheap surfer hostel. They let us check out late for free because of their mix-up, so it's all good. I would recommend this place for a cheap and social place to stay.

Lovely private room and nice people

We stayed 3 nights in the hostel. It is a small group of young French people who own it and they are all very cool! The atmosphere is so young and festive. We had a very basic private room on the top floor with sea view with private bathroom with warm and pressurized water! The hostel has a common kitchen that we can use: the big plus the large terrace with small beach view and the bar where they offer cocktails and beers at the right prices. There is something to rent surfboards in the establishment next to this hostel.

Hostel by the sea

The Casa Fresh Hostel is on the edge of the village, but you can still walk very well into the village in a short time. Especially for surfers, it's very good because you can shower right down there and it's opposite to a great surfing beach. From the hostel you have a great view of the sea and the hostel also has a well-equipped kitchen. Unfortunately the rooms were quite small and narrow so the shower was warm, which is rather rare in South America. It was also a rather noisy hostel so sleeping early would have been rather difficult. Nevertheless, I would recommend it further and also recommend booking since everything was booked at our place all the time.

Hostel right on the beach

It is located in front of the sea, in a very good location. It has two balconies where you can see the sunset. You can buy drinks and it is cheap. The mattresses we touched were very comfortable, cleaning the room once a day. The kitchen is well equipped, has a refrigerator and everyone marks their things. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This hostel is rock solid. A little gem by the beach in this small surfer town north of Lima. I had literally just emerged from the Jungle when I arrived there and booked this place by chance.

Firstly the basics: nice staff, clean rooms, nice setting, cheap, friendly people, good hangout area.

Beyond that though there was just a chill vibe, I remember there was this Dutch dude working at reception and he had lost his passport somewhere and was stranded in Peru till he could a new one. He was just chilling having a great time. Made me a little jealous that such a thing hadn't happened to me. There are far worse places to be stuck

All in all one of the best hostels I went to South America, would totally recommend.

Oh I forgot do the (very reasonably priced) tour of the surrounding area. Worth it. Great ruins

Exactly what I was looking for

Little paradise on the beach. Great hostel, perfect location, amenities. Staff is very professional and helpful. From the first minute you feel so welcome. Great experience. Will definitly recommend to everyone.
