The hostal is well placed and cheap compared to other hostels all around BUT
- The shower is a little dirty
- the room looks like jail, seriously
- the bed are crapy

Only:
- the wifi works great
- the owners are very nice

We arrived at this hostel in the morning on Lima Street, the photos didn't match what we saw. It is a very cheap hostel and a little less but it was fine until we wanted to bathe. No hot water came out and only we said that we waited, without giving us another explanation. Nor could we use the bed, as one of our rooms was unmade and was fairly badly explained to us that the latest in the afternoon was going to be ready. After checking that the two basic things, bed and bathroom, were impossible to get at this place, we left.

Hostal Nasca has a staff.

We decided to stay at Hostal Nazca even though we could not find any reviews of the property (I had to add them to TripAdvisor myself). We made the right choice. The room was old--a coat of paint is needed--but everything was clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable. The hot water worked in the bathroom and we had no complaints over our room at all.

The hostel is located on one of the main roads, a mere 3 block walk from the bus station, and the location is perfect. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby but the rooms are tucked away off the street so they remain quiet. We loved that the room was dark in the morning with the blinds closed so we could sleep in as long as we wanted. 

There is a great outdoor area you can relax in and a common lounge inside as well. The wi-fi worked well and Mario was a great host, helping us arrange our Nazca flight for the right price--no upselling goes on here or cheating.  We appreciated the honesty.  

We plan to return to Nazca for a few days and will stay here again. You can't beat the price and the place was everything we needed for a great stay.

Great Stay In Nazca

It was a journey full of pleasant surprises, very nice friendly people, friendly service. The food was very rich and abundant, the hotels were well oriented centrically.We also played in Paracas and didn't go to the island of Ballestas. At Lake Titicaca and we shared and lived an unforgettable experience. The markets full of color, flavors, smells, craftsmanship is unique. I love silver, woodworking, yamas and alpaca sweaters etc. With pleasure I would return again.

The Mexicans are very friendly and in general very friendly and attentive.

We only paid 45 soles for this so weren't expecting much. Room was decent and clean, the shower worked and was hot, but there was no seat on the toilet!
The main problem was the bed was really uncomfortable - it was like sleeping on cardboard on a hard rock! We really didn't sleep well at all, so that let the place down. 
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, this place mainly caters for Peruvians, and so there weren't many tourists staying.

Basic hostel

Hostal Nazca mainly caters for Peruvians. My Husband and I were the only tourists there. This hostel has newer rooms situated at the back of older rooms. These newer rooms have private bathrooms with hot water and cable TV but these were fully booked. So we had to opt for the older rooms with shared bathrooms - 25soles per room. They dont have double beds in the older rooms so we had to get a twin room. The beds were really old and saggy. The room was small and dark as it only had a small window high up near the ceiling. The lock on the door was also a bit worrying as it was just a tiny padlock which we had trouble locking and unlocking. The shared bathrooms were small and didnt have good locks either. The water was also freezing.
The location was really good with a short walk from the bus terminals and the shops and restaurants.
Although we had checked out, we were catching an overnight bus and the hostel did let us have a shower at 7pm.
Overall, the hostel wasnt very good but the price is probably one of the cheapest around.
