The worst thing I've ever seen in my life, all dirty and in terrible condition.The bathrooms in terrible condition, should renovate their entire infrastructure, and their price is not justifiable by the area where they are located.

Really the worst experience I've ever had in my life, dirty carelessness and being with rude and ill-disposed people. there's not a single thing I can recommend about it that's realnte a horror.

A nightmare is coming.

When we arrived in Bogota at the Hotel Regency de Lima on February 8, 2017, the first surprise was its completely neglected and dirty façade, the driver who took us from the airport to the Hotel asked us.Are you sure this is the Hotel????.We entered the rooms with a terrible smell of humidity and a very strong air conditioning smell, the dirty stairs, the dirty bathrooms, the towels with their dirty edges, the black walls of dirty clothes, the place to hang it is a hole with a hook, without air conditioning, in conclusion we went out and searched for another Hotel and spent two nights in advance.

A bad experience.

Dirty, neglected, poorly maintained, a place to never visit again, the bathroom uncleaned, the beds feeble, the pillows looked like cement bags, no recommendation at all is more if you warn that you do not stay there.

It is lamentable.

The hotel is really cozy, although it deserves a restaurant, it stands out for being close to the center of Miraflores.The breakfast, always given us cold, and little variety, should yield fruits that are characteristic of Peru.

Good experience

What a miserable hotel.  Service is very poor.  They charge you for everything, even for hot water.  The only good thing is free WiFi in the lobby - everything else is poor.  Hotel staff yelling at each other frequently in the lobby.  The hotel staff woke me up in the middle of the night, saying "You have to pay for your coffee you had in the evening" - Idiots!  Couldn't they wait till the next morning for their money?  Did they have to wake me up at midnight for this?  They allow smoking in the lobby, which is ridiculous.  Do yourself a favour - avoid this hotel.

Could be the worst hotel in Lima

I would NOT recommend staying here except for the lovely staff, and I swear I am not a princess!!

The hotel is noisy from the street and other rooms. There is smoking allowed all throughout the hotel foyer and hallways and most rooms. The WIFI they advertise DOES NOT WORK anywhere in the hotel.

The linen is old and shabby, the carpet is dirty, and the walls are stained. The bathrooms are small and uncomfortable

I only gave the extra point for the very helpful staff, Otherwise I would have voted it to be TERRIBLE.

Terrible Hotel but good staff

I recently stayed at the Hotel Regency with friends.  We were visiting from America.  The staff went beyond the call of duty to ensure our comfort, and they were extremely patient with our limited Spanish speaking skills.  The hotel is in a safe area-Miraflores.   The free breakfast was table service...complete with some of the best coffee I've had.   We were served hot eggs, two kinds of bread, freshly squeezed juice, and coffee.   The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.   The young man who cleaned our rooms would put American hotels to shame...he cleaned the room, straightened and tidied our loose items in the room, and made the beds to military crispness.  There is 24 hour security at the door (as there is at most of the businesses in Lima),   The hotel is adjacent to a convenience store and a Dunkin'Donuts.   It is only a few blocks from Ovalo Gutierrez, where there is a Wong supermarket, McDonald's. Starbucks, and a big movie theater.  Nearby is Pasquale's and Pardo, which offer great Peruvian food.    I felt as if I were staying with close family while at the Hotel Regency..

Great hotel for Americans visiting Lima

Hotel Regency in Lima is NOT an REALLY VERY BAD hotel but it needs VERY serious improvements.. SO WATCH OUT!!!

Regency advertises access to INTERNET - but it provides NO INTERNET!
It advertises spacious rooms, but when you purchase a "standard" room, you do NOT get a spacious room at all..
It advertises with photos of their SUITE (room 101) but when purchasing their "standard" room, you get ANYTHING BUT a suite or a spacious room, rather a tiny, badly furnished mini-room. Quite SHABBY!!!
So you feel that they or your travel agent have cheated on you and THEY HAVE..
Their excuse will be: Hotel did NOT authorize the use of that "samle room foto", so it is all YOUR fault, if you purchased that "standard" room, expecting a spacious and well furnished room, as advertised.. Please note: Travel agent OFFERED YOU NO alternative..
Hotel will request you to pay EXTRA in CASH for the activation of the Air Condition! The Air Condition is deactivated or NOT there at all..
Hotel will serve you an unspeakable "continental" breakfast, consisting of a  thimble filled with COLD black coffee plus a cup of lukewarm (hopefully pre-cooked) water, plus a little basket with two tasteless buns and NO plate. IF you order extras (costs extra in cash) they are likely to forget to bring the fork with the knife.. 
Regency has NO lift, so IF you live not on the first floor, you will only have access to your room via some servants staircase..
Hotel also has some exotic "house rules", which prohibit you to have guests or entertain guests in your room, request you to accept reduculous exchange rates for your US Dollars, and they charge you extra 10 percent if you wish to use your credit card, again using some phantasy rates for exchange of the US Dollar amounts of their invoice/s into their Soles.. SO...!!!

YES! There are SOME hotels that do it worse, but NOT MANY..
AND, by all means, try it for yourself, but LOOKOUT!!!
