We really felt like we were in Iquitos when we stayed here. The staff was warm and helpful despite our lack of Spanish. The room was clean and cool and quiet and the decor fits right in with the atmosphere of the area. We had decided to get there a day before the cruise and Adriana on the desk made us happy that we did. For us it was perfect. Even the breakfasts were good.

Perfect place for Iquitos

The photos of the hotel look better than when you leave, the good thing is that I was immediately waiting for a room change if it wasn't what I expected.

Very comfortable moderately priced hotel in a late 19th century building. Staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good and served in a lovely bright room on the 2nd floor. The hotel is very clean and conveniently located.

Epoca Hotel

Really enjoyed my stay at Epoca in between treks. The hotel staff is super welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is served with a view on the river. The rooms are very spacious. My room did not have a window to the outside but it did not bother me. Air conditioning and hot water! The hotel has a restaurant, which I did not try.

Great location and beautiful views / Amazing staff

Great place to stay, staff very helpful. Iquitos is a VERY noisy city and so it is lovely to find a hotel that has rooms away from the main road, and therefore quiet! Bar and minibar prices very reasonable. I would definitely return, but ask for Room 106 which has a kitchenette!

GReat place to stay in Iquitos

This hotel nearby the nice restaurants may seem a little run down but to us that didn’t matter. What did matter was the fact that the beds were really good (quite uncommon in Peru), that there was hot running water in the shower and a very well functioning AC in our family room. We were only in Iquitos for one night, as a starting point for our Amazon trip. But this was an excellent choice. The breakfast was really good (eggs, fresh fruit salad, toast and fresh juice). We would stay here again if we would make another trip into the Amazon.

Good hotel, good beds, good location

I went on vacation after the holidays to spend in a quiet place and escape the cold of Lima, and within the hotels the one that gave me the most confidence by booking and trip advisor was this, because it was also close to the center and on the boulevard, the place is very domestic, traditional and inside has decorations and photos that refer to the history of the iquitos in the rubber era, I think this is very good, because travel agencies only focus on taking you to places and seeing animals but the tours do not focus on the history of the city. the people are very friendly and it is like being in a very familiar place recommended for the family and looking for something very quiet.

The hotel staff is very friendly and always looking for a comfortable stay, the facilities are simple and match their fare.However, there are details that I think could be considered to improve the attention.The bathrooms do not have the proper toiletries, so a little attention to the number of towels, soaps and paper rolls can make a difference; the rooms have a strong smell of humidity (due to the rain but also to the fact that the bathrooms were built inside the room) offering air fresheners, or putting on odors, can help to lessen this effect; the breakfast service is quite limited, with the same resources can present a better offer.The title of my opinion allows me to clarify that if you don't care about these points then this is the hotel for you.

A hotel for some.

It was very nice to have the staff waiting for us at the airport. We stayed here one night before heading out on a jungle excursion. Our stay was very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The room had a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. The water in this city comes from the Amazon River. It was fine for bathing and brushing our teeth. They have bottles of water (or beer) you can purchase for a fair price. The Amazon River is directly across the street. You can walk to shops and restaurants easily.  Internet in Iquitos is patchy.  I would stay here again.

Nice stay before heading to the jungle

Very nice and helpful staff. Good beds. Cold water from the Amazon for showers and in the sink. So you need to buy water bottles for brushing your teeth. 

Hotel is close to the city center. Lot of good restaurants nearby.
