We stayed for just one night fortunately. But having 30 teenagers all tired and sweaty after the hike to Machu Picchu, you would expect a good hot shower but no hot water in any of the rooms. It might have been because they were taking a shower at the same time but still I don’t think that should happen. The dining area wasn’t big enough and breakfast was ok. The location wasn’t the best (up the hill). Too much walk if you want go have a drink or eat something at night.

If you drive a Bentley you probably won't like this hotel, or of you're a 4 Seasons person who needs a personal assistant to turn down your sheets nightly.. If you're more simplistic and want to connect with yourself and the surroundings, immersing yourself in the culture you will love it. Located right in the middle of shops it's central to everything. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate you. The breakfast was local and authentic. The room had the basic necessities, a bed. A shower. Hot water. After climbing Manchu Piccu all day and the train ride up, what else do you need? The stark white linens and comforter (softer than swan feathers I might add), plus the cute key with a Peruvian doll attached made for an aestically pleasing stay. The walls are a bit thin, and you should close your curtains because our room allowed a full view of the open communal area. This airy feel added to the ambiance for me. 
Note: no elevators, and it's located on a steep hill if you have issues preventing that. But my has had several surgeries and she made it up and down just fine. I visited in April about a year and a half ago, but that wasn't an option on the timeline. Lol I would love to sleep here again. 
You can take transportation or walk to Machu Piccu from this hotel. 

Simplicity minutes from Machu Piccu 

Our Inca Trail guide booked this for us. It seemed otherwise empty. The entranceway was ok, the whole hotel was clean and roomy enough and the staff were welcoming but they missed the mark on a few things. Not enough soap in the shower, the shower was very finicky, not enough towels or glasses in the room ... that sort of thing. The upsides were nice windows that opened wide and location; near the hot springs and the main drag.

Good effort that just misses

Hotel staff was great, especially Sara at the front desk. They made breakfast for us at 4:30 am before we went to Machu Picchu. The room is dimly lit. The shower has very hot water. This is a good place to sleep if you are on a budget and want to be as close as possible to Machu Picchu. The hotel is located on a street with a steep incline and there is a small park next to the hotel that can be noisy until about 11PM. Internet only works in the lobby. There is no elevator. Overall for the price, this is a good place to stay if you are on a budget.

Very Good hotel for the price

We spent one night, the receptionists' attention is not so professional but they do what they can; there is no heating even if you can tolerate the cold with bed sheets, soft pillows, no TV (not so relevant) better if you have to wake up before the sun comes up, breakfast is acceptable, the sector is somewhat noisy because there are several bars and this is next to a small square where people gather but before midnight disappear. There is a certain humidity perceived throughout the hotel. They have talking walls, everything is heard! Nothing from the other world but for one night is acceptable!

It's basic!

The staff were annoying, you had to leave your key with them every time you left and when you came back there was always a question. Rooms didn't have heating and were cold. The shower was good though.

You can find a better place to stay

It's a hotel that serves for a night or two at most, to be in a central hot-water location and convenient to efficiently coordinate visits to Machu Picchu, the town's arsenal and recreation sites available.

Only what is necessary.

Basically, if you touch a room with windows inside the hallways you will have a lot of noise, no dark curtains so you sleep with the light of the hallway on your face all night long. The friendly staff. They responded to some inconveniences such as when the light of the night table did not work or when the bathroom door was broken and could not be opened, least of all because I was not inside.

mmmmmm, no es un hotel, no es un hostel, es algo sin descripción es un alojamiento básico, muy básico, aguas calientes es una ciudad asiática tipo con luces y departamentos y esta no es la excepción, es todo una experiencia y si eres joven o debes quedarte en uno de estos alojamientos.

The hotels in Aguas Calientes leave a lot to be desired, we have to stay if or if one night to take advantage of the ruins all day long and early but be careful with the hotels, this one was included in a tour we took from Cuzco and it is quite regular but looking at the reviews and photos of other hotels we could say that it should be on average.
