When they complained that the ad said continental breakfast, we were told that they no longer served it. So I asked them to price us because they didn't offer what the page offered, apparently they got angry and invited us to retire because of the bad vibe in the environment.

De zen have nothing at all.

Stayed here one night before heading to San Blas. The reception staff were so friendly and showed me around the hostel when I checked in. Very relaxing atmosphere. Clean hostel with free breakfast, wifi, nice lounge area and lovely big garden!

Great hostel in beautiful surroundings! 

Casa 'NATIVA'?  
I am traveling in Panama with a friend who was born in Panama but has lived abroad most of his life (he has both American and Panamanian citizenship). When we called to arrange a room for the night, the hostel asked us where we were from. Upon responding that we were from California and Panama respectively, the receptionist promptly informed us that they would _***'ONLY Accept Foreigners'***_ and then HUNG UP. We were in shock. When we tried to call again, they would not answer our phone calls. So much for that 'Nativa'/'Native'. 
The absolute definition of hypocrites.

RACIST/COLONIAL HOSTEL

What an awesome hostel! I not a fan of big cities but still love to visit them so staying in a hostel that was surrounded by nature was awesome. The hostel is relly clean, rooms are big and power pionts at every bed. The art work around the hostel was awesome, wifi is really good and the hostel puppy is so lovely I miss her already! There are two kitchens and plenty of areas for socializing. Only a 5 minute walk away is the start to a hike that gives you a full view of the old and new city and we seen sloths, lizards and monkeys! I would love to stay here again!

Visit a city but stay in nature!

Really great place to stay! The staff are incredible, the rooms are huge and comfortable equipped with air conditioning, fans, and lockers! Hostel location is ideal as it is close to the lookout point hike, the bus station, the canal, and the city - great for seeing more than just the city center. Everything is super clean and there is a ton of common spaces to hang out. I really had a great time staying here.

Relaxing and Comfortable

We stayed in the green frog room which has bunk beds and a full size bed and private bathroom. Room and bathroom were clean and it had a/c which we left off in favor of leaving the windows open (even though it was hot). There is some weird place nearby where all of a sudden you hear very loud chanting from a large group of people; it was bizarre and woke me up, not sure if this is a normal thing as I never found out what it was but it happened every day but it didn't seem to be at regular times. If you are used to staying in hostels this probably isn't a big deal as they stop eventually. This hostel is located in a residential area and is right by Ancon Hill. You must know your directions as none of the taxi drivers we had could read a map (nor the directions we printed out). Get a sim card for your phone at the airport so you can direct taxi, if you are taking one, and brush up on your spanish as you will need it. Also, this hostel is within walking distance to Casco Viejo; however, after walking it, I highly recommend females take a taxi instead of walking. It was uncomfortable and I am not sure it is completely safe; although we made it through ok, we definitely took a taxi back. The hostel is an old converted house and has original murals that are beautiful making it an interesting and unique place to stay.

My third time at this hostel...

Casa nativa is one of those places where a different vibe is felt. I really felt like home. Everything is clean, tidy, comfortable. It was really a grateful experience because Carla, José and little Mati are the hosts, they are warm, friendly, serviced and very attentive. Genius facilities. It is a different environment full of unique energy, I can't describe it any other way. It is located in an excellent neighborhood, very close to supermarkets, bank, locomotion. Thank you for the good wave!

The best experience 

Casa Nativa is a small oasis in the middle of the urban case.The staff is super friendly and the place is beautiful, full of art.The breakfast is simple, however, for the price per night seems to me enough.Recommended for those who want a mini break from the city.When I return to Panama, I will return to this place.

Virgin nature in the city

It's a great place for lovers of authentic nature and recreation. Quiet and comfortable. Away from the transportation highways.
