Stayed here for 1 day  1 night it was so much fun kids loved it as so did we we did dancing climbing the dunes camel riding stayed In Bedouin tents food was delicious sat round camp fire t night listening to the owner telling us how Bedouin live would definitely recommend

So much fun a must

It's very rustic (but we're warned not to be surprised ), we're in the desert in Bedouin Spartan tents. The couple who run the establishment is absolutely kind. They're four-way for their customers and the night of fighting around the fire in the evening is an extraordinary thing. The kitchen is very good. And for exceptional sunsets, it's the right place. The way to get there is quite easy provided you have a 4*4 and maps.me. No problems with drowsiness or the risk of getting lost. Beware, the nights are cold...like the tent showers!

A place out of time

We visited with our 14 and 17 year old sons who are tough to please on vacation and they really enjoyed it.   There is enough to keep them busy for one night but two might be tough.  The dunes were spectacular and they did the dune bashing- well worth the price.  They also enjoyed sitting by the camp fire hearing Obeid speak about Bedouin life and feeding the goats.  Accommodations were great - our tent could hold six - it cools down nicely at night.   Best part was the food - authentic and plenty of it.  We showed up fairly early at the camp and Obeid shared his personal lunch with my son - can’t say enough t how much this gesture was appreciated by my son. We had them pick us up in town rather than rent a 4 wheel drive car - which is probably better anyway - Obeid’s son drove us - very nice kid and drove confident / fast - which of course my teens liked.   Overall a great overnight trip.

We had a lovely stay. The dunes behind the camp are beautiful and great fun for playing on and seeing beautiful views of the dessert. The family tent was spacious and it was nice to have our own private seating area. We learned a lot sitting around the fire hearing about bedoin life. The kids liked milking the goats in the morning. We would recommend.

Nice stay in Wahiba Sands

Simplicity, tradition, generosity, sharing and the perfect place to fully enjoy the desert. We spent two nights enjoying everything: a 3-hour walk behind the dromedary (more sporty than expected!), a dune bashing (with luge in the sand pulled by the 4x4!), a Bedouin evening with traditional outfit, dancing, henna tattooing, campfire discussion. Bedouin tent meeting expectations with sanitarians in our private cloakroom and nothing to separate us from the beauty of the desert (some camps are surrounded by high walls, what a pity...).

It's an absolute heartbeat!

The hotel is a genuine Bedouin hotel, and its owner Obaid, will serve you with the kindness and Bedouin customs.The site is spectacular, located in the desert, but the carpas are comfortable and the bathrooms are complete and very clean.The hotel has its own water well, so there is always water available.The food is abundant and of good quality.The stories of Obaid's taste and his kindness to answer questions, are part of the charm of the site.

A big thank you to Abeed and his team. We had a memorable night and everything was perfect: the welcome, the Bedouin tent, the delicious and succulent dinner, the free activities, the campfire, our exchanges,... we had our best experience in the desert. It was authentic and Abeed gave us a lot of information about the life and history of the Bedouins and camels. There were a lot of free activities: campfire, traditional outfits, traditional Bedouin dancing with all the explanations of course, feeding the camp animals (goats, sheep and their babies),... the tent and nickel! The place were too authentic and there were many choices.

My Best Experience in the Desert

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Obaid’s Bedouin resort! Obaid was an exemplary host, showing me around the place, telling stories and history of the area and Bedouin life, and allowing me to help bottle-feed lambs, milk goats and feed his on-site racing camels in the morning!

At his recommendation his staff moved a bed out of my tent just outside the door, and I slept under the stars in comfort, watching shooting stars and the Milky Way in the crystal clear skies.  I woke up in time to walk up the nearby dunes to view the desert sunrise, definitely a must-do experience while you’re out there. 

Food was great, and I learned how to write my name in Arabic at no extra charge.  All in all, I had a great time, and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Bedouin good times

I stayed two nights, welcomed by a kind and willing staff who immediately offered us a nice plate of dates and a cardamom coffee. In the evening we were involved in a Bedouin dance with lots of costumes and even the typical women's mask, here this one I did not particularly like. At dinner there was everything and more, with the possibility of sitting both at tables and on the ground, of course I chose this last dinner! And then what happens afterwards in a deserted field?

Exciting.

We spent one night in this camp. Since we didn't have a 4x4 the son the owner of the camp, Obaid, gave us a date at a gas station in a town just before the desert. Like at this station there are quite a few fake guides who offer to take you to your camp for an often more expensive price, Obaid finds you with your booking number booking that he is the only one to have. Once we found him he told us where to park our car and then we got into his 4x4 heading for the camp. Obaid welcomes you home with a small snack and dates. The camp is very clean. The Obaid organizes an animation evening around baby food in Oman and after lunch (before the traditional baby food costumes, dancing, dancing, and other things) he does not want you to do. He does not want to take him to the desert. This is a very nice night.
