 They hotel is right next to train station which is easy to approach for traveler. They place and the room is just basic, simple and small space. The room we got was clean enough, it is a bit noisy during day time with traffic. Not so bad after 11pm. Wifi is moderately good. It really is meant for people who needs to travel under budget. 

Only Basic 

Only if you want a cheap bed for the night. Clean and central, but thats about it. Near the railwaystation and the main road into the city centre, but rather well isolated. But I would stay there again if I only needed a bed for the night and nothing more.

Cheap and central

Don't judge this 'hotel' by your usual standards. It's a basic, budget, hostel-like place but ideal to spend a night or two in if you're on a budget and don't want to pay standard Norwegian prices. It's located right by the railway station and ferry terminal and is right next to the city centre, so its location is very convenient. However, it is also right next to a busy flyover and a filling station. 

The 'hotel' consists of what in the UK are known as 'Portakabins'. It looks exactly like the temporary office units that are located on constructions sites. However, once inside, it offers good, basic accommodation, with all rooms having their own en suite facilities.

This is absolutely not somewhere for travellers who are looking for comfort, style and exclusivity, but if you don't mind the basic accommodation and the 'interesting' fellow residents, this is a good, affordable place to stay.

The Clue is in the Name

Awful experience! This is not a hotel. People are clearly living here permanently. It felt like we was in an asylum seeker camp. There was noise and loud slamming with doors throughout the night, and at 06 in the morning children were running through the hall screaming in arabic.
The room was dirty, i dropped my sheet on the floor and picked it up with dirt and long black hairs attaching to it. Looked like dog fur. We payd for a double rom, and got a bunk bed with a 1.20 cm bed at the bottom.... We had to put on bed linen ourself. The sheet was to small so we hade to use 2 sheets to cover the mattress. There was a disgusting stain on the mattress of the top bunk, visible to us when lying down. 
Bathroom was not clean, old dirt around the soap dispenser, and burn marks on the shelf. Overall dirty, disgusting and felt like a homeless shelter!!! To Budget Hotel: it might be a good idea to separate residents and random guests! WHY would you give someone a room next to noisy residents??

Do not stay here!

A nice budget hotel, free overnight parking at the entrance, friendly staff, close to the city centre, close to the ferry terminal to Denmark, shops and shopping malls, small but with toilet and shower, quiet and quiet.

Not a bad budget hotel.

We chose this hotel because it was the closest to the port. We had the ferry at 6am and given the not very high cost we decided to stay here for the night. At the reception we were welcomed by a very nice guy who explained how everything worked. Self-check-out leaving the keys at the reception early in the morning, they provided us with clean sheets and towels. The bed we had to make. The hotel is a set of industrial containers. The room is very spacious, castle bed, a desk and a prefab bathroom.

Nights in containers

A nightmare. I booked two nights on July 21 and 22. After the first night I leave x itinerary scheduled at 8:00 and I return to the hotel at 22:00 and 30: Room cleaned without suitcases. Total smiling feeling like I was robbed. We have to continue the journey for another ten days. In the airline ticket cases and all the bookings. At the end of the day we were wrong thinking we were thinking one night only. The suitcases found in the drawer. Another room of course we make our own beds. But... my packed suitcases left my pajamas on the bed, on the table were a hygiene cell phone and a vending machine, in the bathroom products x laene et al. I stopped two... I threw away the covers x hours every night.

I'm not sure.

It's not a hotel, it's a set of industrial containers. Castle beds, space between the upper deck and the ceiling 60 cm. It's very difficult to access, especially for adults. Furniture: 1 chair, 1 table. Attended a few hours a day. Local kitchen, very dirty. Local living room used for storage. You have to make your bed and at the end of the stay, undo it. Stay to forget.

It's not a hotel.

The hotel offers the minimum necessary service for one night. Useful only for those arriving by boat at Kristiansand harbour as it is a minute from landing. The rooms are small and without any service (not even the closet). The hygiene levels are acceptable even though the structure looks very much like a container for earthquakes.

Minimum required

Two unique positive aspects: 700 meters from the arrival of ferries from Denmark and, given the Norwegian prices, relatively cheap: for those arriving by night ferry (about 2 a.m.) it goes very well. All the rest, instead, is poor: modest structure, no reception at night (keys are withdrawn from the nearby distributor), small rooms without closets, castle beds that must be prepared in person at the time of arrival (in the morning must be squandered), bathroom with shower that leaves to be desired, microscopic washing machine, not very accurate cleaning.
