For those of us who like a bit of alcohol tipple, Konya is pretty much a wasteland, HOWEVER the 5th floor restaurant terrace and PUB of Mevlana Sema Otel, yes you read that correctly, I said "Pub" was a godsend. Great view, and the liquid refreshment was cold. Its centrally located, just a stone's throw from the Mevlana itself, with a very nice view to while away the time. Only other option (besides the some of the local watering holes/bars of ill repute, and questionable morals and class), is the Hilton, and its a bit more of a walk. I cant speak for the rooms, nor the food.
