If you pass by Managua, I recommend "Casa Azul"...A different kind of place to stay: a private and well decorated home, which rents out some comfortable and clean rooms with private bathroom. There is good Wifi and a hearty breakfast (included). Also, Rebecca is a wonderful and very helpful host.

The next time you are passing my Managua, try Casa Azul, a newly opened mini-hotel - or a private home which rents out some comfortable and well-equipped rooms. The house, a big, beautiful, private home from the glorious days of Bolonia - the former city centre - of the sixties, is beautifully furnished and decorated, the patio well-kept and lushy.  The rooms are big, equipped with TV, wifi and each with a private bathroom. Two of the rooms are connected by a little kitchenette - practical, especially if you are staying for a longer period.

Your landlady, Rebeca Centeno, welcomes you with a big smile and helps you out with any odd little problem you might have. She has a long academic trayectory as well and can discuss practically anything with you!

She also serves you the most delicious traditional, Nicaraguan breakfast you could dream of: rice and beans, eggs, fried platains, fresh cheese, along with strong, Nicaraguan coffee. All included in the price.

Casa Azul is located in the old centre, close to most of the big bus-companies like Tica Bus and Sol which connect you with the rest of Central America. You are also quite close to the marvellous Malecón - the newly renovated beach-promenade by lake Managua with lots of great restaurants, local as well as international. The shopping mall Plaza Inter is also nearby. 

But you are pretty far away from the new centre which is being built around Carretera a Masaya. So if you want to check this area out, Casa Azul is not so convenient for you.
