One block from the plaza. Nice covered outdoor siting area. Affordable rates and secure parking for no extra charge. The hotel was nice and quiet at night. Check out the artesania shop across the street -- a good selection at a good price. Also, the plaza is quite lively at night

Good location with friendly owners 

I stayed for 4 days with a few friends, and our experience was fine. I was, however, not impressed by the beds, the bathrooms, or the security. My room was the 4 bed dorm right next from the street, and I was a bit apprehensive with the cheap lock on the door and slat windows that opened right onto the street. 

The service was excellent, and the breakfast was good. It also is very close to the central park and lots of restaurants. Overall, it was fine. 

Good service, cheap accomodations

Don't expect luxury, this is rather basic in terms of the rooms. That said for the price it is just about OK. The garden area is pleasant and our room was clean but a proper partition wall for the bathroom would have been better, some things just have to be done in private. It was a bit noisy at night, although I'm not sure if it was someone else listening to their TV at top volume or a nearby bar. Earplugs blocked it out in any case. Friendly reception staff and a good location.

Basic but OK for the price

I suppose there must be better rooms than what we had, after reading the other reviews, but we had a very poor experience. I am not a picky traveler, and have never left a hostal i have booked, but if I had inspected this room earlier I would have left and gone to Sonati or some other place. We arrived and dropped our things, noted that the room was a bit dank and a huge puddle of water between the beds, but had a tour to get to and thought well, it's only 1 night. When we returned at night and pulled back the sheets there was dirt, ants, and many many hairs on the pillows and throughout the sheets. Also the sheet on the double bed was a single so we couldn't even cover up. I went to the front desk just before 10 but everything was closed down and lights off. So we made the best of it and inspected everything, removed all the hair, shook out the dirt and ants, and slept with the sheet sideways and our feet sticking out. On our backs of course so that we didn't get too much contact with the pillows. When we woke up we checked out right away. I suppose my advice is to check out the room thoroughly first, and don't book online because they require a 24 hr cancellation notice. I found it strange too that they emailed me asking for my credit card number over email , even after I gave it to booking.com to confirm the room.

I would not stay here again

The place seemed cheap and comfortable enough but it doesn't sit well that two guys were conveniently put in the room next to ours and when we went out for a short time they managed to climb through the ceiling and drop down into our room.  They stole all our devices.  Computers and tablets.  Very quickly and efficiently and professionally. The staff was very unhelpful after the robbery. Nope, wouldn't recommend this place.
