We were unsure from the photos, but though dated , almost ‘retro’ we were pleasantly surprised. Gone are the flowery bed covers and the sheets were pristine clean.
It had all the amenities we needed for a family of four with two teenagers, well stocked full kitchen and drinks (including hot chocolate) sugar, salt & pepper toiletries etc, plenty of  tea towels, washing up liquid etc. The bathroom had plenty of towels, toilet rolls and toiletries for 4 people.
There was a choice of sleeping options (with 5 single beds as well as a double).
The 2 bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom, lounge and kitchen downstairs.
Our double room overlooked the racecourse and the unit was set back from the road so nice and quiet. 
The unit was serviced daily and staff were on site and easy to find if you needed anything ( not that we did). More than I can say for 4 & 5 star hotels we have stayed in!
Not flash, not new, but clean, welcoming with a full kitchen and all the space and comforts you need for a family. We would definitely stay here again ❤️

Clean, great service & roomy

The trip included my daughter and granddaughter. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the level of customer service, the cleanliness of the unit, the closeness to the city centre and the main arterial routes were all winners. They were just all round good people with a good team looking to give guests an impressionable stay. They succeeded.

Absolutely budget.
Furniture filthy to point we wouldn't sit on it without a towel down.

Mold in both bedrooms on curtains.

There is such a thing as budget accomandotion then there is dirty  accommodation.

Room was hot and stuffy

We chose this motel as were travelling in our Kenworth Truck & needed parking off the street. Also, we needed dining options within walking distance. The Coachman's Lodge Motel ticked both these boxes. We were very comfortable. Nothing flash, but the unit was clean & we loved the lazyboy chairs to relax in.

Would be very happy to stay here again!

We recently stayed here with our Newfoundland dog for a couple of nights. The manager was very welcoming and pleasant. We found the room immaculately clean and the water pressure was excellent. The one bedroom unit had plenty of space in the lounge area as well. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be staying here again.

Clean and comfortable

We have stayed as a group of 6 multiple times. The manageress is always friendly and very kind. Very clean, warm and quiet even though on a main road. Always happy to go back and stay here.
Close to playgrounds and shops. Extra tea and coffee in our room on request, tidy kitchen, with modern crockery and kitchen utensils.

Clean, comfortable and affordable.

Nice hotel located near the main road axis allowing us to quickly continue our circuit, it is about 15-20min walking from the historic center. Shops are located nearby. Traveling as a family, we took the suite 2 bedrooms and it's frankly spacious! 7 bedrooms are available which would make little room but at 4 it's perfect! The room is adjacent to the racetrack so you can see the training of the morning. On the other hand, the decoration and equipment level is back to the 70-80s! The must is the kitchen space! In the end it's rather a good quality/price ratio but it would be time to modernize the whole thing

Nice hotel but a little old

Everything about this place was solid except the wifi - it kept cutting out at inopportune moments (6 times in one hour!), and when I asked the woman at the front desk to please reset the system, she acted like I didn't know how to use the wifi, which was insulting. /Her attitude was quite patronizing and I found her irritating to deal with. The wifi never did work properly and I eventually gave up.

Room was spacious, everything was very clean, bed was comfortable. No a/c, but rooms cool off once the sun goes down. Shower pressure is good, but the soft water means you never feel all the soap is rinsed off.

Wifi is a very important feature for hospitality in this day and age and it needs to be reliable.
