I stayed here for two weeks and I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in a four person bunk bed doom room and I have to say my bed was extremely comfy, one of the comfiest beds I've slept on in a while. 

For me, having a good bed is arguably the most important factor of staying anywhere.

There were some shelves in the room to organise your stuff which was rather helpful.

Probably the only downside of the room was how there were not many plug sockets.

I was alone in my room for the majority of my time staying but if it had been a full room then it would be a struggle for everyone to charge their various items.

The bathrooms are clean and modern, as are the two kitchens.

However there are only enough utensils and space for two people maximum to cook so there would be times where you would have to wait a while to cook.

The location is good and bad, it's very close to shops, bars and restaurants but that also means on certain nights like Friday or Saturday the various bars and clubs nearby tend to leap up in volume.

My advice, go out on a night out on those nights because it's gonna be hard to get a good sleep anyway.

Overall I'd give this place a solid 8/10

I cancelled my booking well within the free cancellation period, they charged me anyway over £140. I contacted them and they admitted their mistake, and yet 2 weeks later I still haven't got a refund. Also emails I have received have no name attached which I find weird and unprofessional.

My partner and I decided to stay there because of the location, but ended up regretting it terribly. There was no one at reception at 3 pm and we were asked to wait until 7 pm (!) for someone to arrive. And when we finally went to sleep, woke up to an itch on our backs and a horrible sight of dozens of blood-filled bed bugs. Disgusting!!

This hotel is a good location, the room was too small, i stayed in a room with other 3 people, the bathroom didn`t have soap and just one shower and toilet for all floor, the bathroom was mixto. Around there are many restaurants and supermarkets.

By the looks of these other reviews the bathrooms have been newly renovated. They definitely live up to expectation - felt like a hotel! Nice balcony. Rooms are a decent size and beds are super comfy. Not sure how safe it felt as we’re pretty sure there was a homeless guy who lived in the lounge.. apart from that we couldn’t fault our stay 

Very clean 

Good value for money. Free wifi is provided and its connection and speed are good. The kitchens are 24/7 so it's convenient. I cook anytime I want, no pressure. Free tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided in both kitchens. Staffs at the front are friendly and helpful. One of the bathroom and toilet area is newly renovated and more upgrades to come. The only problem is there is no lift. You may ask help from staffs to carry luggage. Also the kitchen facilities are very basic but it's enough for simple meals.

Such a smooth and welcoming check-in. Wei was very nice and very helpful, he looked out for us right up until check-out. We stayed in a private double room which was fantastic value. The WiFi was amazing, reaching the room and allowed us to chill and watch Netflix for those days which we needed to. The location is great and is a short 5/10minute walk from the hustle and bustle of queens street. The bathrooms were clean, the terrace was great for the good weather and the kitchen had all the equipment needed for the majority of your catering needs. Definitely recommend as the perfect stay in Auckland. 

Ticked all boxes for a fussy couple! 👌🏻

After a month's road trip in NZ, we ended up in Auckland in this hostel. Well located, just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre. The room is spartiate, rudimentary common kitchen. The showers and toilets are not very clean. The washing machine is $3 and the laundry is $2 but it works very badly. The hostel is on top of a nightclub, the night was long and painful until 3am.

End of the journey

Two nights ago when we arrived from France... two old men in the middle of young men... the room was rather simple for a passing traveler. I slept well despite the delay... I experienced worse... I experienced better! The kitchen lacked utensils... but we still ate in the kitchen.

Honestly

The room is well worth the price, so there's no air conditioning, so it's a little warm, basic comfort and walls as thick as paper, and the cleanliness of the common areas (kitchen and toilets) is very limited, so it takes a day or two, but no more.
