Stayed in the large family room.
Friendly staff, in the heart of everything.
Breakfast was superb and delivered to your door.
Will definitely recommend. Only issue the mezzanine beds have steep stairs so be prepared and may be difficult for very young or old.

Lovely location, on the canal

A fabulous quirky hotel. Beautiful room with a canal view. Recently refurbished bathroom. Comfortable huge bed.
Delicious continental breakfast delivered to your room.
They were super helpful, storing our bags and answering our random requests.
We would definitely stay here again.

Quirky with a great view

What an incredible place to stay. Bags of character, fantastic rooms, awesome breakfast, perfect location and lovely people. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to spend time in Utrecht. Nothing was too much trouble.  Stunning building as per the picture!

Amazing place and location

I woke up rested, and had a wonderful night in the family room. Nice and comfortable beds and a verily delicious breakfast.  The staff at the hotel are Kind and helpful!!
Check in and check out went smooth.
I will come back again!

Wonderful stay

I've lived in the Netherlands for 20+ years but this was my first visit to Utrecht. Mrs A had been before in the 80s and 90s.

We chose the hotel on booking.com using the 'bath' filter. It was reasonably priced, an old building in a great location. AH and Jumbo supermarkets were close by, as was the centre of town, but it still felt quiet.

I'd read the reviews but disagree with a few negative comments. With Google maps the entrance is not hard to find, look for number 399A. Also the stairs, by dutch standards, are not steep they are quite palatial.  We didn't experience any noise from fellow guests.

Mrs A declared the bath in our 2nd floor room to be the nicest ever.  No (noisy) jacuzzi pump, just a long deep plain bath - excellent.

Single beds were fine, we just secured one end of them together with 4 large tie wraps and didn't have to mind the gap!

Breakfast delivered to the room was excellent too. Warmed rolls/croissants were a nice touch.

They were able to give us access to our room before the declared 4pm check-in and they are happy to store bags.

Some nice canalside bars close by - we enjoyed 't Oude Pothuys.

Behind the property is the "7 Steegjes" area and the grassed walkway alongside the (Rijnkade) canal.



A good B&B in great location 

Great location on one of the most beautiful canals in the city. A bit of a spacious room set on two levels and more like a bed and breakfast with cheap furniture. Very small bathroom.

That's it.

We stayed her with our family of four (two adults, one 8 and one 11 year old). We had the family room (room F, 2nd floor). Room F has single large living space with a living room / kitchen and bar and connected bedroom, as well as a stairs to converted loft with two single beds. It also has a small bathroom/toilet.

The pro's:
 - Location is fantastic. It is in central Utrecht, within close range of tons of good restaurants, shops, museums and sight seeing opportunities
 - It's also about a 15min walk to Utrecht central station (which can then get you on fast trains to Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam (all within 30-40min)
 - Building is authentically Dutch, Rooms are clean, spacious, staff are friendly
 - Breakfast in the morning is tailored to your wishes, delivered to your room at the time you want; and while they don't do everything (not sure you can get your eggs a 100 different ways, but we didn't push the limit there), the croissants and bread are fresh and lovely

The small downsides:
 - The bathroom in room F is quite poky. If you are tall, you might struggle a bit. But if you don't spend a lot of time in the bathroom in the morning, this shouldn't bother you
 - The room we stayed in could probably do with a tiny bit of TLC. It does show some wear and tear. But I guess as Covid19 comes to an end, the owners will have more budget again to invest in it. It doesn't impact your stay at all btw
- Some staff are a bit less more 'on the ball' than others and it shows in the attention to breakfast, the cleanliness of the room, etc. Nothing that ruins your day, but you clearly know who is on duty
- Parking is not an issue, and there are good parking garages within 8-10min walk, but it will but you back €25/night. Best is to not come by car at all

Overall it is a fantastic place to stay if you are in Utrecht. It's a residential house in central Utrecht turned into a B&B. Who could ask for more? Only thing to warn for is that if you are less mobile and find steep stairs tricky, this is probably not the place for you. There is no lift and the stairs are Dutch-style steep...

Quite a little gem in the heart of Utrecht

A nice B&B with nice facilities and good service. The location in the centre and the breakfast were also very good. Absolutely recommended. Parking can be done in the Museum Quarter car park, outside the historic city centre, about 500m from the B&B to - for Utrecht - convenient parking fees.

Beautiful B&B right on the main channel of Utrecht

Convinced that we had booked a hotel (as it is proposed on all websites) we found ourselves in a student-run bed and breakfast that was being turned over to prepare breakfast served only and exclusively in the room.

A BED & Breakfast Offered by Students

It seemed to live in an 19th century dutch hose. The doors. The steep long stair. The rooms old furniture, pictures, tends... The hotel is situated along the main beautiful Utrecht channel, the Oudergracht, at the east end of the old town. 15 minutes walking from Central Station. Not far from Central Museum. From the windows we could see the apse of a previous church, now transformed in block of apartments. Our two rooms (for three people) were wide, equipped with a little kitchen and a brand bathroom. People were very kind. In the morning they bring us a delicious breakfast, in a wide vessel. I still remember the light of rooms, beautiful also in a cloudy summer day.
