do not stay here especially if you have breathing problems when we arrived and the door of the accommodation was open the wharf cellar smelt very damp and musty, we thought airing it would fix the problem, but after airing for many hours the place was still damp and the back room was even more musty and damp smelling them the front this included the bedding we had to sleep on the sofa bed under our coats as the bedding was unusable, I have asthma and could not breathe, there were dust and cobwebs under plug outlets and in the corners of the accommodation ,and  strange stack of orange chairs in the corner of the front room and various items stored behind a badly fitted piece of cloth at the back of the kitchen almost like a storage shed area, outside by the seating area it was littered with rubbish and a blocked drain with flies flying around it, we both also came away with bites, we had to leave a day after we arrived due to not being able to breathe with the damp musty air quality of the wharf cellar. And then was told by the owner it wasn't their fault I have asthma so she wouldn't refund the full amount I paid for the remaining nights, we had to find alternative accommodation and use our holiday money to pay for this 
find somewhere else to stay in Utrecht if you want a holiday where you aren’t living in damp musty dusty conditions 

Me and 3 other friends went for a weekend break to Utrecht. One of my friends found this through booking.com I believe, and we couldn't have been happier. The location was perfect, situated on the lower level of the street with the canal right outside the front door. The lady who we assume owns the B&B (Margreet was her name) was really welcoming and friendly, provided us with everything we needed inside the apartment and ensured we had directions to the local supermarket and bars/restaurants. 
I didn't get the chance to personally thank Margreet for her hospitality as I had to leave before the others in my group but if you are reading this then Thankyou ever so much! I would recommend this b&b to anyone, and I will definitely be hoping to stay here again in the future.
