The landlord's hospitality was very warm. We had trailers of ships stored inside a barn. The houses are very well built with all the comforts that are worthy of luxurious hotels. A place where we would have liked to stay more than one night. The breakfast is very full.

Unusual and welcoming

It's a little out of town, very quiet and cute made, breakfast delivered right to the house, super sunset watched right from the terrace.

Super cute little house

The accommodation at Restinn is essentially a studio apartment, with twin beds and everything you need for a VERY peaceful night. Located about 15 minutes from Medemblik in the countryside. The welcome from the owners was really good, I was running late due to train problems but my tardiness was not a problem for them.  Breakfast, tea and coffee are included in the rate, which was a good rate anyway. The darkness was awesome, no light pollution at all. The views over the fields in the light box the morning was fantastic. This is the place to stay for peace and quiet. 

Away from it all!

We arrived at Restinn Medemblik, and it wasn't clear where we were supposed to check in. We went to the main house and knocked on the door, but no one answered. After wandering around for a few minutes in the rain, we went back to the house and this time someone answered. The owner was not unfriendly, but not particularly helpful either. We came to the house a few times to ask questions, but no one answered the door, so we went into Medemblik, where the people at the Information Centre were very helpful. However, we enjoyed our stay. The location was lovely. My son enjoyed the animals on the farm, and it was lovely to hear the birds and see the ducks and geese in the little pond at the back of the cottage. It was very, very quiet with lovely views. Breakfast was brought in a little cooler to the cottage and was very good. All in all, we enjoyed our time here, although we didn't see the owner very much.

Nice location

We spent 7 nights at the Restinn Medemblik. The little chalets have everything you need, fridge, TV, seating areas, coffee machine, kettle and are really cosy. The hostess is very friendly and delivers a very substantial breakfast every morning consisting of bread rolls, croissants, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, orange juice, milk and yogurts. You can hire bikes to cycle into Medemblik or walk it which only takes 15-20 minutes, where there are several bars and restaurants. There are only 6 chalets so you really don't see many people. A dyke/ canal runs in front of the chalets and you have an outdoor seating area where you can listen to birds and look out over fields. We had a couple of amazing sunsets. Yes there are lots of insects but that should be expected in the countryside and an electric fly swat is provided. The fridge is stocked with beer, wine and soft drinks which are reasonably priced but there is nothing stopping you buying your own. Overall a superb place to stay if you want peace and quiet and relaxation.

Peace, perfect peace!

By coincidence we stumbled on the Restinn concept and we really liked it! It is just so incredibly quiet and peaceful, fantastic. The house is small, but perfect for 2 adults. There's a large fridge, stocked with drinks. The bathroom is indeed very small, and while taking a shower you have to watch out that you don't flood it. 
Breakfast is served in the house in the morning, if I really want to "complain", don't use so much plastic for the breakfast items (and take away the plastic from the towels).
Some people complain about the flies, well, that's what you can expect in the country side. 
There's free wifi, a tv, nice terrace with chairs, and you can easily park the car. What more do you want?

So peaceful

The small but very charming holiday cottages are located close to the center, super quiet and really idyllic. The owner is totally warm and very concerned about the well-being of the guests. The small one-deck cottage had all the comforts you wouldn't expect at first glance. Modern furnished, with a small terrace, great views over the fields, WIFI, TV and cow closet and a sweet bathroom. Breakfast is opened early in the morning and leaves no wishes. Optimal for 3-4 nights.

Charming little holiday cottages

Last minute three day business / short break booking.
Was not sure what to expect, but what a pleasant surprise. Located in a field opposite a working farm with off road parking. The building was warm with underfloor heating, a separate shower WC. with table chairs, fridge and twin beds.
Great views over open countryside from the patio outside.
Situated a mile from the Town of Medamblik (an easy walk) with its interesting harbour, station, bars and restaurants.
A substantial Breakfast is delivered to the chalet each morning by the friendly owner.
