Stayed for 2 nights for a work trip, the room was comfortable, not really anywhere for storage but it did have good toiletries and was very clean. I wouldn't classify this as a boutique hotel, more of a bed and breakfast above a restaurant. 

The breakfast was nice but I would say €15 per person is not in keeping with the quality or quantity of the food. 

They had a great selection of international tv channels and fast wifi. 

A couple of downsides: 

The staff left at 6pm every day (they did notify me of this when I arrived) so there is no reception or staff available after 6pm. As a solo female (who has travelled for many years) this did make me feel slightly nervous, plus there is no security cameras in the building.

Considering there was no staff in the building, when the lock for my room was temporarily broken (and I was locked out of my room) I was slightly concerned.  Furthermore, when I came back to my room to a strong smell of sewage from the drains I couldn't notify anyone until the next day. 

Finally my bathroom did not have any curtains or blinds for privacy but only contact film on the windows which made showering at night with the lights on not very private. 

The staff were very nice and did listen  when I explained some of the above points when I checked out!

Ok, not ideal if you want security

I am very pleased with my one night stay here. It was very close to the location i needed to go for the show (Mezz) and despite me arriving late, the receptionist (Sharon) waited to give me instructions for check in, I appreciated that. Contact was prompt and easy to reach. Room was comfortable, clean and brightly lit. Having said that you do get the occasional singing and shouting in the wee hours of the morning as the location is in the heart of the city centre.  Didn't bother me as the bed was super comfortable. Plenty of great eateries around. Again thank you for the pleasant stay and memory.

The hotel had super friendly and professional  staff. The room was really neat and looked nice. The location also could not have been better! The breakfast was also really really nice.
We really enjoyed our visit and if we ever come back to Breda, we will stay in this hotel!

Amazing visit, thanks for the staff!

A small hotel above a cafe, very informal, friendly reception, basically at the cafe bar. Access to the rooms is up a steep staircase that might challenge some. Room very pared back and quirky, old typewriter outside the room holds info about wifi etc,  hang your clothes from a stick dangling from the ceiling. Sleek bathroom is good. Standard breakfast is from 8.30 am, and is great: pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and ham. Overall a refreshing change from plain vanilla hotel chains.

Idiosyncratic, very Dutch place to stay in centre of Breda

Nice hotel, quiet street, close to bars and restaurants, comfortable and nice room, clean bathroom and pretty spacious, generous lunch I don't see what to criticize.

Nice stay, no flaws

This is not a typical hotel, but more a café with rooms - type bed & breakfast. I have already stayed in a few in the Netherlands and was always very content.

In the first moment I walked past the place, which is situated in the Southern Center of Breda, as you do not recognize it as a hotel. You cannot access the hotel by car, so you have to park just up the road and walk the last 100 metres. The check-in speed was fairly slow (some 10 minutes), but they offered a free drink until everything was settled. Payment is up front, which added to the long check in time I guess.

I was then taken up a very steep staircase (no lift) to the second floor, where a very spacious and nicely decorated room was waiting for me. The view was onto the place (Van Coothplein), which made it light and interesting.

The bed was perfect, stylish and interesting decoration of the room and outside the room the number was in sheets on old typewriters - so very original place. The bathroom is very modern and functional, lighting with many options. Internet connection was excellent and fast. I slept really well in this place. 

There is no reception, once the café closes at 22:00h, but you get a number to call in case of emergency, which is fine for me. There is a side door to enter after 22:00h

Breakfast is from 8:30h, but they happily did it at 8:00h for me, as I had a meeting at 8:45h - just make sure you let them know the night before. Everything was fresh and tasty, a juice would have been the perfect add on. Invoice was sent by mail, very easy and quick checkout.

This place is not the typical hotel, but I very much enjoy this, as it is not so "Off The Shelf" as many big hotel chains are. The staff was all the time super friendly and did a great service, the price was very fair and the entire place has a lot of charms. I would always retrun here.

Right in the Center, above a café

Hotel is in middle of town on a nice small square. Hotel is just refurbished and really nice. Superb beds and luxurious bathroom. I had a room in the front, but almost no noise if you keep the windowns shut. If you open them, you hear the nice sounds of a town of some small mopeds, walking and talking people. It didn't disturb me. My collegue had a room in the back and no noise at all.
Only drawback: reception is only open from 8:00am to 18:00 pm. They have a key locker, so you can check-in and check-out any time, but it is a bit inconvenient.

Nice hotel in centre of town -- limited reception

Hotel in the city centre, at the entrance of pedestrian and shopping streets. Everything can be done on foot. Good size room, with a modern and clean Dutch decoration, natural colors. Good bedding, TV and Wifi, modern and efficient bathroom. Shower products provided. Breakfast at 9€: bread and wine, fruit juices, ham and cheese, cereals... The problem of the city centre: nearby parking. Use the full public parking area during the day, 5/10 minutes on foot, or on the street, paid from 9am to 10pm

Good quality price for the city centre

Stayed here for one night,checked in at the bar,got offered complimentary drink,nice friendly staff.shown up to room,please note stairs are steep.room was very modern and clean,but bedside light did not work and toilet seat was loose.unfortunately we had picked a night when there was a lot of noise from the street below.also bar closes early evening,so if you are checking in at night you need to let them know as there is no one there to let you in,room key is also for hotel entrance door .

Nice hotel,shame about the street noise.

Easy check in at the bar with super friendly staff. Very clean room with a fantastic bathroom. I found the two flights of quite narrow stairs difficult with a chest infection (saw an amazing doc in Breda for that), otherwise they'd have been no problem. Busy area of a daytime, but good sleep even with the windows wide open of a night. Not enough storage to put our stuff away for a 3 night stay and as an Aussie, we always like a fridge so points off for those two things. Only had breakfast once and have to say what we paid for was excellent. I would love to stay here again and I'd want our room with the view.
