We stayed here in March my husband myself our daughter and baby granddaughter....... (and we're supplied with a cot).
We were met by a friendly woman Vivian & given the keys and shown around the two bedroom apartment downstairs.  It's a lovely spacious apartment....but has no outside windows or views...it does have skylights in the bedrooms....it's on the ground floor with a couple of steps...there is a one bedroom apartment above.
This apartment is in a great location..close by is Anne Frank museum...and lovely walks along the canals....walking distant to most things.
One downside are the church bells...which I'd don't mind church bells ringing but every 15 mins and major chimes on every hour and half hour we found to be annoying and they did disturb our sleep!!!
This apartment has no washing machine or dryer which we found to be a must when staying a few days.

Apart from the above we enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam and the location is good.

Good location

First of all, please note there are two apartments available at this location.  We stayed in the one double bed apartment above the apartment reviewed previously. We booked via Booking.com and we were met at the apartment by the agent.  Communication was great and we followed her advice in booking Taxi Melody from the airport (33€ out and €30 return!!!). All fine so far.  
The apartment is on a lovely canal street which, in itself is relatively quiet.  There is room to put a couple of dining chairs in front of the bedroom window and enjoy the view with a glass of wine! It is not possible to do this in the 2 bed apartment as it does not have a canal view. 
The apartment is spacious and was generally clean throughout but it's quite 'tired' and the bathroom area is in need of an upgrade.  There are steep narrow steps up to the apartment. 
The bed was very soft and had a mattress topper to compensate for an old mattress which sunk in the middle and so wasn't actually very comfortable.  Additionally because of its proximity to Westerkerk (church) we we woken throughout the night every 15 mins by the church bells so bring earplugs! After the second night I did begin to sleep through but my husband didn't.  
There was tea, coffee and sugar available which was very handy.
The apartment was advertised with free wifi in all rooms but it was poor at best.  It was not available at all in the bedroom and very rarely available in the lounge area.  We therefore had to rely on our o2 travel data package at a cost of £2 per day. However 3G reception was also poor and very slow in the apartment and my frustrating. 
The immediate area was very interesting, lots of quirky independent shops and we enjoyed mooching around.
We would recommend De Rieger's for food, and drinks it was just in the next street, the service was fantastic and food delicious.  There are plenty of places to eat breakfast too.
There is a TV which has English speaking channels. 


Great location if you like being woken up every 15 minutes

This ground floor apartment is quite unique for it's style.  It has two large queen size bedrooms, one bathroom large dining table and workable kitchen.  Similar to a converted garage space, for two couples sharing accommodation it was really good to be able to wheel your cases in, instead of carrying them up tiny stairs as per most apartment accommodation in this area.  Met by local manager who helped with many questions.  Location is 2 minute walk to  Anne Franks House, ten minutes to Dam Square and surrounded by some great local restuarants.  Really nice to be able to sit on the canals and mix with the locals.
