Very bad experience; We had booked 3 rooms (for a family weekend) directly on the Kapitein Anna website. Without warning, the rooms were canceled, and the person at the reception was absolutely not embarrassed, thus leaving us without an overnight stay in Amsterdam...

Very bad experience

A very mixed stay here. Parking was not an issue for us as we were here at the weekend but during the week I am sure parking off site would present its own problems. Arrival smooth and efficient. On arrival the room was hot but the air-con unit was extremally effective. When we had problems with TV reception in the room, this was quickly resolved. Breakfast was  sumptuous and more than adequate, eggs anyway, along with pastries cereals yoghurts, cheeses and meats, if a little expensive at 14€ per person. The terrace in the evening was great to watch the sun set. The decor was excellent and in keeping with the vessels history. On the down side, our cabin (5) was next to the steps from the upper deck, so every time someone passed we could hear it clearly in our room, but worst of all, there was intermittent noise from a pump which came on randomly through the early night and evening right next to my bed head which disturbed my sleep on both nights. As for housekeeping, only the two towels we requested were changed. Beds remained unmade, complimentary toiletries were not refreshed, but the bin had been emptied.

Not up to expectation

This structure is amazing!!! Staff is professional and super kind. We were 6 friends celebrating my birthday and we spent 2 days in a quite and relaxing historical ship environment. We also got welcome aperitive offered by the hotel. Nice atmosphere, it seems to be in a movie. Great breakfast both sweet and savory with several choices. Transportation is also very good as the hotel is located 5 minutes walking from the ferry boat which can be taken from Amsterdam Central every 10 minutes( free ticket). I strongly recommend Kapitein Anna!!!!

Birthday with friends sleeping in a boat

A very warm welcome, a boat tour, impeccable service and cleanliness, everything was perfect, an experience to repeat, I recommend if you're looking for something unusual in Amsterdam, 15 minutes from the city centre.

Perfect time with Captain Anna.

It is a very comfortable boat hotel. The staff is very friendly and proactive. The boat is very nice, with large spaces available to the guests. It is close to the ferry that leads to Central Station, with free crossing. The breakfast is excellent and there is a coffee and chocolate machine available to the guests 24 hours a day. It has air conditioning and the shower is great.

What a wonderful experience!

Lovely  location with free use of ferries.   Amazing staff nothing is too much trouble.  Spotlessly clean.  Breakfast sets you up for the day and 24 hour free tea and coffee machine.  If you like the personal touch this is the place for you.

Wonderful place to stay

The boat looks great! Coffee and tea are free up to night and you can sit on the deck very well until late. Great care is taken to preserve the original charm of the boat. The owners are very warmly welcomed!

It's a great atmosphere.

We stayed at Kapitein Anna last July for a few days during our visit to Amsterdam. Anthony was incredible in making our stay the best one and was willing to accommodate to our needs going beyond on every thing we needed. This place is very convenient since it is just a 10 minute ride from Amsterdam central on a ferry (which is free of charge), breakfast is excellent and the staff is really helpful. The ship is a treasure, it is well-kept, clean and the views from the decks are priceless. A nice way to get away from the noisy nights downtown.

Incredible experience

Great accommodation on board, small cabin, but very comfortable with toilet and shower, superb and varied, you can even order bacon eggs, and conveniently located, free ferry every 20 minutes.

That's great.

Smelling of sewage in one of the rooms, the landlord tried to get us to accept the idea... the dock side view is non-existent... cancellation on site, refund by transfer and need to find another hotel!
