River Bank Inn

My partner and I stayed at the River Bank Inn in Nov 2015 and were delightfully surprised with the quality of the place. Included were bus tickets to and from Kathmandu along with village tour, sunset by river bank, Elephant safari, Jungle walk and canoeing, cultural dance and elephant breeding program. Plus plenty of leisure time in between. However the programs between each hotel are exactly the same if you stay at a $20 per night hotel or a $200. Our guide and the staff here were very friendly and a pleasure to be around. We were well looked after. Our guide is very environmentally concious. When on the jungle safari one of the other guides threw a used plastic bottle on the national park grounds, our guide picked it up and took it with him to throw in the garbage back at the hotel whilst giving him a dirty look. Very good to have people like that here. He is very knowledgeable too. Food is delicious, however it is a set menu. Power will be cut for 4 hours each day, but that is for all of the hotels and is done by the government. Hot water is provided but I believe it is a solar system. The grounds and rooms are clean, well maintained and comfortable. Overall, River Bank Inn was a delightful experience and would recommend to everyone in a budget to intermediate price range options.
