It's in a good location relative to the city center, quiet, quiet breakfast, clean housing units, but not exceptional, and in our case it was very close to where we picked up the car, so it was very convenient.

Good as a first stop for a trip to Namibia

The whole lodge, as well as the garden could do with a cleanup as well a general maintenance. There are better options in Windhoek for the same price.... the receptionist was having a big party at the pool and did not bother to turn volume and activities down. We had just arrived from a long flight from Europe...

We stayed here for 1 night to begin our self  driving trip through Namibia and enjoyed the personal service. Our room was large and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and overlooking the pool/garden area. Breakfast was great with a continental selection along with eggs on offer cooked to your liking offered with bacon etc. we enjoyed our dinner at Joe’s beer house which they happily organised for us. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Lovely hosts

Great cozy place, great breakfast service and basically all the needs you’d expect from a guesthouse. Downside is that room sizes / features are very different; some rooms are a lot bigger and have a lot bigger bathrooms than others for the same price. Loved to stay here, everything was very nearby in the area so a great place to stay in Windhoek if you want to do / see things in the city.

Terra Africa Guesthouse

The Hosts are very nice and welcoming. The Guesthouse itself is a bit outside of the city center next to the Presidental Palace and the Maerua Mall is close as well.
The Guesthouse has a nice garden and clean rooms. But everything is a bit old by now and would need a makeover. Nevertheless we had a very pleasant stay and a good night of sleep and would defenitely stay there again!

Nice beginning and en of our Namibia trip

A special compliment to the ladies at the reception! We had problems with our rental car, the two ladies at the reception were a huge help to us!! Our room was clean and quiet, but there were some weaknesses (the bathroom door could not be closed properly, the water was not only flowing into the drain while showering,...). The breakfast was very good.

Good Accommodation

We only stayed there the first night we arrived in Namibia, we arrived there as it was already dark and the next morning we immediately set off for our tour, from what I can judge it seemed like a well-kept place. It is located slightly out of the center but it is easily accessible if you have a car.

Just one night

We had a very nice welcome upon arrival, a table at a restaurant had been booked already which was good as it seems that in Windhoek the main restaurants are very busy. But otherwise, the place needs a face lift. The rooms are very simple, the towels are shimmering all shades of gray and are washed out. The mini fridge was not really clean. the hotel is located in a residential area, near the presidential palace but it is located on a big road and our room was facing that way - so very noisy. The pool area also looks like it needs a makeover and a good clean and is hence not very inviting. The breakfast however is good. As it was our last morning we wanted some tips for what to do, the person at reception seemed annoyed by our questions, when asking if museum are good and which one is the most worth it the answer was "they are all nice" and no further information given. I would not recommend staying here as it was clearly the worst hotel we stayed at during our whole Namibia trip.

Mediocre place

Very nice step for a first night before we start our road trip. Very nice welcome. Very nice hotel in a very quiet neighborhood. The hostess offered us a card with meals to be delivered. She offered to call for us.

Terra Africa is maybe not as terrible as my rating may indicate, but I'll explain why I gave them this rating.
I stayed there on 2 nights approx a week apart. Place had been booked by the Safari company I did 3 Safari trips with.  
First time I stayed place was good, nice large room with bit of a view and a fridge in the room.  They were good in arranging booking and transport for dinner at Joe's Beerhouse.
Second time room not so great, no fridge and in the evening hardly any hot water.  Then next morning ZERO hot water.  I complained to reception and thier response was something about be happy with life.  NO explanation NO apology.
I mentioned this to the Safari company who had booked the room, who followed up with Terra Africa .  Then the killer, Terra Africa told the Safari Company they had apologised.  I have seen the email. No misundersanding just an outright LIE.  Why these people felt the need to lie and could not offer an explanation or apology when I first complained.  If they can do this , they will do anything, don't trust them. Stay her at your own peril.
