I stayed here 2 nights. The location of the hotel is very nice, as most of the restaurants are within walking distance. They made our beds but didn't empty the two trash cans in the room. They left the toilet paper sitting on top of the roll. The room smelled musky. All the staff strangely leaves the hotel at 5pm and locks the doors! They have a security guard that sits outside in the cold all night instead of between the two doors. Breakfast juice was mixed with water. a/c works best in lobby, not in room. You have to constantly log into the wi-fi. Porter was very helpful with luggage since there's no elevator. Young blonde woman who worked the front desk was nice.

Hotel is not the fanciest. But the service is the best I have experienced ever in any of the hotels I have stayed. And I have travelled a lot. Special thanks to Tricia. You should be serving in Buckinham Palace! Also all other staff were just great!

A Journey into the Past

We were here for 3 nights and the only guests. The wifi was super fast (after a short IT check on the 2nd day). Here was obviously well invested! Unfortunately, we liked the Eberwein Hotel the least of all the accommodations on our round trip. We lacked for the check-in situation, but also the length of stay in comparison to other accommodations the warmth. The rooms have certainly been renovated well in the appropriate style, but not really up to date anymore. The breakfast was so good. The bar outside the house was permanently closed and the reception outside the morning was not occupied (at the moment virtually no guests). and Timo D.

Hotel Eberwein

WiFi was working very bad and only at the Rezeption. Parking Garage is too small for the big cars which are used for Safari Trips, Bar is closed at 18:00 every day and Rezeption as well.
Room itself and bathroom were great. 

Okay, but not the best in Swakopmund

I love the location, its near the beach and on the city centre.

Perfect to stay in

Spent 2 nights at the Eberwein after trekking in the desert. It’s a wonderful oasis. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel’s location is great and (at most) minutes from anything in central Swakopmund. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful and really made for a perfect stay. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. Highly recommended!

A breath of Europe in Africa.A beautiful,old restored home on the main street.Sparkingly clean,bathrooms,bedrooms,restaurant - everything was meticulous and the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly.

Hotel Eberwein Swakopmund

The Hotel Eberwein catapulted its visitors directly back into the past a century ago. It has been carefully renovated without losing its nostalgic charm. The rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished, the staff very friendly. Nevertheless, we draw a point, and this is for the following reasons: 1. At least during our travels, the reception and bar area was closed in the evening. Since you do not necessarily want to be on the streets with a child at nightfall, we were almost forced to spend the evenings in the room, although we would have liked to have had a little life around us directly. 2. In the first morning, a small group of travelers did not like to eat breakfast, so the catastrophe at 7.35 p.m. and 3.35 p.m. did not occur in the evening. However, if there were a lot of people hanging around the door, the rest of the staff would be hanging out for half an hour.

Charming and nostalgic

We stayed for two nights as a guest of a 12-person travel group at the Eberwein Hotel. Our room was decorated in the charming old-fashioned style as described in the title. We immediately felt comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Various egg dishes were prepared freshly on request. The service was very attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel allows us to reach the important (tourist) points of Swakopmund in a relatively short time. A small drop of warmth was the location of our room's main street Sam Nujoma. Due to the glazing it was relatively loud. At night the traffic calmed down without stopping completely. If anyone wanted to sleep, they should have gone to the Otaviano or to choose a room.
