Me and my family had one of the best times in Lotte Yangon over the long weekend.we enjoyed exceptional services and delicious foods. We were Welcomed by a smiling staff starting from reception as we checked in until we left afterwards.

Family holiday @ Lotte Yangon

Four friends and I spent our first night in this hostel in Burma. Given the very low price, we were pleasantly surprised: the bed was clean and comfortable.

Good experience

We opted for a stay in the private rooms of this hostel in downtown Yangon. 
I imagine the shared accommodation to be better, this is  situated on the opposite of the road.
The reception is open 24hrs, staff are helpful and friendly. Unfortunately for us that’s about as good as it got. 
Our windowless room was located directly next to the laundry/bathroom which ordinarily may have been a good thing but when the washing machine is churning away 24/7 well lack of sleep becomes an issue. In fact no sleep in 3 days for us. 
They serve breakfast 7- 9.30 but there is no access to the kitchen out of hours, no hot water for a tea or coffee except via a water cooler/heater machine. 
Decent enough WiFi, but don’t expect much peace and tranquility here. 
I guess you get what you pay for but I’m sure it could of been better.

No rest for the wicked (or anyone else for that matter)

Small price doesn't have to mean dirty and broken, we only stayed one night on both reservations, the photos don't match reality, we booked a private room, no hot water, a horrible, dirty bathroom never seen a guest house so infected.

This is a dirty guest house.

A microscopic room without windows, with nothing to hang or put his belongings in, where the household has not been cleaned (basket full of garbage, old paper towels under the bed).

It's an absolute horror.

While the price is very cheap and I do not expect 4 stars the place is not at all as pictured on Agoda where I booked.
The room is very small, which is okay for a solo traveler, but is basically a closet that smells of mildew. The dorms up and down the hall are all left open for anyone to wander in, but the front door does have serious security with an incredible door code.
The whole place is quite dirty and dingy but the bathrooms are filthy, see pics below.
Breakfast is instant coffee, white bread, or white rice.

All staffs are very friendly and good. and the location is very convenient.

This hostel is disgusting. Everything is filthy, floors, walls and specially bathrooms where water from holes in the ceiling drops into your face while you try to pee. Dead cockraches everywhere that nobody cares to clean even if there is lots of workers that go around talking non stop. There is humidity everywhere and the walls fall into pieces. I was here  3 nights and nobody cleaned even a single time, the dead animals from first day where in same exact position on the last. Poor breakfast, no even tea available. Also people is really disrespectful and staff do nothing about it, people talking on the phone in the middle of the night, singing at 1am or putting loud music at 6am. If you find a good deal you could stay here for 1 night but do not pay full price as you will feel stupid... The common area is in the other side of the street so you need to go out under the rain to get there, not the best to socialize. Good things: comfy beds and cold drinking water. I will not repeat for sure or recommend to anybody.

Never ever.

Extremely unclean, stuffy and poorly managed. There was no lock on our door, so we felt unsafe, no windows and the air conditioning didn’t really work. There was also a burning smell in the lobby from some wires that were sparking, and many other exposed wires throughout the rooms. The walls and showers were extremely grimy and the walls were very damp. The staff were completely unresponsive and unhelpful, despite not being able to provide enough beds for our group (we had booked and confirmed them all in advance). Would not recommend at all – there are other nice hostels in Yangon but this one is terrible. The beds are comfortable and have curtains around them, but it does not make up for the other problems.

Unbelievably Terrible Hostel

Terrible management, staff were absolutely clueless. I didn’t even end up staying there- the place smelt damp and like burnt rubber. No aircon and no wifi, the doors don’t even lock. Requested a female only dorm and there were 2 men already in there- they made the men move but didn’t even clean the sheets after.
