Lovely resort with the poorest management. Arrived to a place that was not ready to check in to, even though we had arrived after check in time. Cleanliness doesn't seem important, the apartments are cleaned very quickly. Bedding in a terrible condition, all stained and dirty. One aircon did not work properly and nothing was really done about it. The apartment is not very nicely maintained, very worn out appliances and dishes. Definitely not worth the money as I believe that there are other resorts which are much better maintained. Will not visit again.

Lovely resort, poor management

We have just returned from an amazing week at beautiful Bilene. This beach resort is at an ideal location with the most gorgeous view of the lagoon. The resort has various accommodation options, we stayed at the 3 bedroom duplex as well as the 4 bedroom villa. 
The duplex is a lovely modern unit with great finishing touches that have everything that you will need. The downside to this unit is the walls of your neighbouring guests are paper thin and if you are as unfortunate as we were to have loud and inconsiderate holiday goers you can count on not getting any good night sleep here. We tried our luck, and there was availability at the villas.
The villa is highly recommended if you enjoy your peace and quiet as well as your privacy. These villas are spacious, although outdated and in need of an upgrade. It has your own private plunge pool and fully fitted kitchen, including a dishwasher ;) 

The only reason this place gets a 3 star from me is the cleanliness of the bedding it is quite disgusting seeing the condition of the bed linen, badly stained and  worn out. 
When I  asked housekeeping to change the sheets, they just brought a different set worse than the previous all 3 times!!!!
I eventually gave up as I could see  that I was not going to win. 
There is no way to contact reception unless you are willing to drive out to them.  I feel this really brings this resort down.

Beautiful resort with family options as well as couples only options. Family option is self catering.  
Beautiful kitchen fully equipped, 
Dining room & lounge are comfortable too
Outdoor dining option + bbq on patio. 
A small private pool.
Unfortunately no WiFi included. This was disappointing. 
Bedding was not clean . Lots of sand in it and yellow stains. Had not been washed from previous use. 
The receptionist was quite rude when we requested for a late check out. They need to improve customer service and friendliness. 
Overall great place with beautiful beach and view. Well maintained.

Ive been here 2 Decembers in a row, i see myself going again and again. I stayed at the self catering Villas, and would easily stay at any of the other accommodation venues if available. Thank you to Management and staff for their wonderful hospitality and welcoming treatment. There's enough to keep us busy for days! A Gem so near to Mpumalanga and Guateng,

Paradise getaway.....stone throw away🤿🌈

Since 1993 we have spent all our Christmas holidays in Bilene and as you can imagine we have gone from camping under the most basic conditions to staying in reed huts and finally for the last 20 years or so we have had the pleasure of enjoying a bit of comfort and luxury at the various resorts in Bilene. 

As Holiday Club members we had been trying for years to get into San Martinho Beach Club, and we are now very happy that we have the opportunity to also enjoy it.

The resort is amazing, the staff are very nice and helpful.  A play area for the children near the Club House would be nice as the only jungle gym is by the restaurant and it is quite far from where we stayed.

We had a fantastic family holiday, my little grandson keeps on asking when are we going back to the holiday house in Mozambique. It's nice and quite and away from the noisy main road, a pity that it is so difficult to get in over the Christmas period.

Well done to the Beekman Group you have created a beautiful and luxurious resort, Bilene needed it. Will most definitely go back.

Best Holiday ever in Bilene.

We are a family of 5. The 3 bedroom unit was well equipped and spacious
Beds and linen of premium quality
Although the units are close to each other, everyone had enough privacy and the resort did not feel crowded and no noise after 21h00
The activities offered are well priced or free and the gentleman in charge are very friendly
Cannot wait to return



Perfect views. Feels like Mauritius. Although pricey, it is worth it

I had the greatest opportunity of visiting this beautiful resort. The pictures online definitely do not lie.  The staff are welcoming and warm. They are never without a smile. The food at the SandBar restaurant was absolutely delicious.

Beautiful Scenery. Warm Staff

One more terrible experience, rude security at the gate, shouting because he couldn’t speak with his own team regarding our friends expecting us inside. 

End up not being able to meet our friends because he could not contact his colleague (not replying at radio) and started shouting at us.

Apart from the title description. We were humourless confused with a South African name tag (eg. Frikkie) on a local guy named Qadier (corrected the next day).  Private little chalets provide an ideal. couple/small family environment for a neat and modern place to. rest your head and cool down. different sections of the resort, accessible to guests, allows for great stretches of walks from sand bar restaurant to lawn chess and board game centre. locals await to take you on boat rides on the lake and many other water activities are offered. if you in the mood for a. more 'vibey' part orientated scene, a local trip across the lake to a neobouring lodge will give you that upbeat feel, good for a day. 

Peaceful, private, friendly, family amenties.

Such a beautiful place ruined by horrible management. Second time the lady ruins what is supposed to be a relaxing trip for family and friends. Please, if you want to be respected as a client think wisely before indulging 😬 I will make sure to advise all acquaintances before they think about coming here. And to the lady manager with short hair and glasses please remember dearly that the costumer is always right🙃
