It's a beautiful backdrop, and we've had a very interesting city tour.

A loving, luxurious oasis

We were welcomed as a small group of 11 people and enjoyed a wonderful time in the beautiful rooms.

A wonderful Riad in a central location.

A very friendly ride. A wonderful Moroccan atmosphere coupled with Swiss reliability. Sylvia, the owner, has been living in Marrakech for many years and has given us valuable tips. We have been here twice, we felt very comfortable both times.

Good choice

It's a very nice bar in a good location. On arrival, you get a Moroccan mint tea, and in addition, the owner Sylvia gives you tips on restaurants and exploring the Medina. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the service is generally super pleasant.

Nice ride in good condition

A warm reception, a beautiful riad in a very good location, a generous breakfast, Sylvia's received us personally and gave us good tips for restaurants and visits to the Medina, the room is cozy and staff very helpful.

First address in the Medina of Marrakech

Nice start in Morocco

We spent three nights in Riyadh and we felt very comfortable, the situation is great, more peaceful and yet central, and Sylvia and her team are top, very friendly and super helpful.

It's a very pleasant stay.

We arrived at 3am, host met our driver and walked us through the empty pedestrian only streets, served us their mint tea and gave us a tour. We were the only people staying there for 2 of our 3 nights, which was nice but a bit awkward for our private meals. The host spoke mostly French and Arabic, no English at all. We had a very hard time conversing about the simple things like what time we wanted breakfast or dinner or where we wanted it served. We also had an issue with our safe and couldn't communicate. All of our drivers and guides and other people we came in contact with knew at least a little English or tried. The room was pretty and air conditioned (thank goodness even in November), and it was very very almost eerily quiet.  The fresh flowers and petals and water was a very nice touch. Probably more for a couple than other travelers. The rooftop was nice for our one dinner but again, awkward.

Luxurious but Awkward

The Riad is very beautiful and furnished with a lot of attention to detail and each room is individually decorated and has a lot of charm. In our room we felt very comfortable immediately. We were able to park the rental car in a public parking lot very close by. We were welcomed by Sylvia upon our arrival and had a successful start to our vacation journey thanks to her very helpful, friendly and lovely manner and also during our stay we received valuable tips and recommendations. We liked the public spaces very well because they were very invitingly furnished and gave us the feeling of coming in the evening. A home of peace and warmth in a very lively city. We have a very nice way to continue our vacation journey and we would like to send you back to the city and we would like to send you back to Mariah and Mariah for a very interesting introduction and then we would like to send you back to Mariah and Mariah and we would like to send you back to the city for a very interesting trip.

A stay like 1001 nights

the Marrakech experience already starts with the way that brings you to this fantastic place: We followed our guide through a labyrinth of narrow streets, a corner and another corner, people walking and greeting, children playing in the streets and all of a sudden we arrive at Riad Basim. It is in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance from different places of interest.  We felt immediately at home, the whole team led by our host Sylvia gave us a warm welcome and cared for us during the whole week. Every single morning we started with a sumptuous breakfast on the roof terrace. Freshly brewed tea every time we returned to the Riad allowed for a short relaxing break to let sink in all the impressions from our different excursions. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We were three couples and had a fantastic week.
