Terrible experience. We were led in by who we thought was a friendly local when we were turned away from a full restaurant, but the experience turned out to be terrible. We did not eat the food and as we complained of the quality the manager instantly became rude to us. We paid without eating just to be able to escape as we felt trapped by the awful management. If you’re starving and have no other options, just have sleep for dinner.

Awful experience, scammers

This hotel has one of the best positions in Marrakesh. However it has a rundown atmosphere and is not reaching its full potential.  The upstairs terrace is lovely for a meal and watching the world go by beneath. but a higher terrace was completely unused from which the views were excellent. My meal of chicken tagine with prunes was a good average and service was polite and professional. The decor is faded early 20th century, very traditional, very Morrocan, but needs an uplift. This place should be so much more vibrant.

We were totally ripped off on the beers and charged the equivalent of £6.5 for a small bottle, when we know others were charged £3 for exactly the same. They did it in such an insulting way whilst trying to insist on a hefty tip. Avoid at all costs. 

They will try and rip you off

From any point of view, dont get pushed to go there. Scammers cooperate with “STREET GUIDES” scammers. You can find many other places with better prices of food and nobody will rip you of. MEDINA THE WORST AREA. NICE TO WALK AROUND BUT NEVER BUY THERE Anything. And its not true it is only place where you can by a beer.

KEEP AWAY FROM HERE!

Hard to make worse! A real tourist trap! To escape.... Cold dishes, tasteless, undigested boundaries a catastrophe from A to Z. The self-proclaimed show is + that boundaries and servers are unpleasant

It's horrible.

Horrible to escape absolutely insignificant meals, non-existent service dishes and unique rates everything is brought together to scam tourists

The worst restaurant and dark, dirty, smelly space you can find, or pushed by a tourist guide like ours, that's the only way to fool tourists is to find it working, a shame, the health and tax authorities should check them out.

I'm going to go.

Coming to get my sick parents for a repatriation, I stumbled upon a hotel where I had a heart attack, I quickly realized that the staff is in little care with my parents worthy of a great deluxe hotel despite the earthquake, the staff and bosses always smiling and available (to the point that the boss had time to come and negotiate at the souk of Jammar El FNA which is about to enter) Price defying all competition The atmosphere of the traditional place but in renovation at the moment Dancer and dancer at the top My parents with cancer, we get honey and a medical brew as a gift to our local department Really thank you very much... I hope to get back there soon... and thank you for a reduced mobility for my parents who helped people who are looking for the ultimate hotel of authentic maroca....

On top for a recovery!!!!

Fortunately, we didn't fall asleep, but if we had to, we would have preferred to sleep in a bench on the street.We were recommended for the terrace and because you could have a beer (not uncommon in other hotels and restaurants in the city as well).The terrace has fantastic views but gives the feeling that even the waiters are trafficking drugs.The interior of the hotel looks more like a trafficking center than a hotel.

The hotel of horror

I landed up in a short, last minute stay at this hotel after the earthquake, when my upcoming booking got cancelled and my previous one ended. The building is super beautiful inside, if a little tatty in places but the people who work there are awful.

Firstly, I was not even given a remote for the aircon in peak summer weather. Not that it mattered because it was broken anyway. When I complained, I was given another room with working aircon but no towel or soap etc. 

I was also told that the hotel could not even give me number to call a taxi when I wanted to leave. The staff pretended not to understand English whenever I asked for info/anything they didn't want help out with. Also, people smoke cigarettes in the communal areas, making them unusable. 

Lastly, when I eventually managed to organise somewhere else to stay outside of Marrakech, they forgot to give me my passport back when I checked out. I can't find anyway to contact them and I had no plans to go back to Marrakech. 

Anyway, if you read your reviews, Hotel Tazi, please give me a way to contact you, so I can get my passport back.
