Riad Misbah

We came from a dessert tour and we were planning on just staying one night then heading to chefchouen but local advice was that it wasn't worth the long drive. Our host kindly allowed us to stay longer and after discovering my gluten allergy they went out of their way to find food I could eat for breakfast. 
Not only was our room cleaned everyday but they gave us local advice on where to go and the best restaurants. 
The location is in the Medina near a kasbah. It's easy to transport your luggage to the location since it's not far from a wide enough street for cars. Everything is close by and once you are inside the house it sounds so silent and peaceful.
I would recommend staying here too anyone visiting Fes.

Relaxing & wonderful

This place was nicer on the inside than Palacio da Bahia, the #1 historical site to visit in Marrakech. The location was perfect, and having wine in the living room was like time travel.

Palatial visit !!

We enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay at the unbelievably gorgeous Riad Misbah. Floor to ceiling blue and white tiles, intricate carving and dark wood furniture, along with a trickling fountain make for a heavenly escape from the bustle of the medina just outside. Riad Misbah is perfectly located, just next to the blue gate and only a five-minute walk from Madrasa Bounania. Marco kindly arranged a guide for us (€40), but if we’d been feeling a little more adventurous I’m sure we could have wandered down the hill of the medina to the various madrasa and other landmarks. Marco provided a list of things of see when we arrived, which we checked off on day one, before visiting Borj Nord on our second day to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of Fez. Marco and Fiola were great hosts, with Fiola providing delicious breakfasts as Marco regaled us with tales from his career and the characters of Fez. The pool was an excellent size, and far bigger than in other riads we researched. It’s perfect for a cooling, late afternoon dip after a day of shopping and sight-seeing. Our room was clean and comfortable, just next to the peaceful first floor living room - the perfect place to curl up with a book or a chess board. All in all, a beautiful Riad with eccentric and welcoming hosts. We hope to visit again! 

Breathtakingly Beautiful

· O time! suspend your flight... they were suspended during those hours by the owners, a delicate and caring couple of guests. The green of the Riyadh oranges combined with the blue chameleon of the zelliges, the fountain basin... are conducive to serenity. Here, nothing ostentatious in decoration, refinement by simplicity. Breakfast is complete, orange juice juicy. The location is the best to enjoy this fascinating and colorful millennial city. Thank you!

I went to attend the Fes music festival. I experienced much more, the warmth of the owners and staff which really made a huge difference although I did not had the time left to enjoy all the amenities of the lovely Riad.

A must to appreciate what a true Riad is!

A friend and I spent 4 nights here during the Sacred Music Festival, it was our first visit to Fez. The riad itself is classy and very beautiful - if you want history and culture then this is a great place to stay. It's location is also perfect, next to lovely restaurants and right on the doorstep of the medina. The riad is extremely clean and our room was comfortable and immaculate. The owners are very friendly and helpful, from arranging airport transfers and a guide to show us around the city, to providing information about Fez and the riad, to directions, recommendations and general tips about staying safe, nothing was too much trouble. They helped us feel at home in an unfamiliar city. We are both vegans and were really surprised by the effort they put into providing a wonderful breakfast for us of fruit, salad, home made breads & jams and dips, fresh orange juice and coffee - the breakfasts were really special. I fully intend to return to Riad Misbah next year and can thoroughly recommend this as an authentic and special place to stay. 

Absolute gem

Recently had the opportunity to spend a couple of days at Riad Misbah. A gorgeous Riad with equally charming and helpful owner/managers. The property is stunning and the room spacious and elegantly appointed. The property is ideally located to the most interesting parts of Fes by foot or conveniently available taxi and most of the good restaurants and bars are nearby. The owners are a great resource on Fes, Morocco and the region. Including the history of all. Enjoyed speaking with them very much and look forward to a long association with this Riad and its owners.

Lovely Riad in Fes

What an amazing guesthouse!  The interior is breathtakingly beautiful. Starting with a large tiled courtyard  with a fountain, trees and a view of an indoor pool. The rooms are tastefully decorated. Beds clean and comfortable. The bonus is the enormous tiled bathroom. Amazing!!!

Luxury in the Medina

A beautiful Riyadh, an elegant and refined green oasis. It was exciting for us to meet the owners. People with whom we shared thoughts and reflections. Traveling often gives you this too.

What a wonderful experience.

We have never come across such indulgent hosts and amazing hospitality before. The Riad is at the start of the medina, very close to the Madrasa bou Inania, the lane next door is the iconic postcard blue gate. The markets are a stone throw and so is a breathtaking Hammam Spa. There are plenty eating options just outside too. The neighborhood is also safe and if you walk around it, you can find a palace with beautiful doors and a lovely park. But inspite of this, when you enter the Riad, you here no sound of the bustle outside - just trees and birds. 

Marco and Fiela are the most kind host. They are willing to help you and go to lengths to make the stay wonderful for you. They made our trip so lovely. We had a 101 on how to make Moroccan tea - all thanks to the kind hostess. Marco draws up a fantastic list of places to go to and cuisines to look forward to for you which came in so handy for us. 

Let's talk about the beautiful Riad now - if you want to stay in a beautiful traditional Moroccan Riad - then your search is over. It's cider, gymsum and mosaic. it transports you to a different era gone by. The Riad looks breathtaking at night with the lights and the fountain. If you love pictures, then this is your paradise.
