Centrally located in the medina, it’s a beautiful Riad with a nice rooftop terrace.  The rooms were lovely and very comfortable, though cold, but there were plenty of warm blankets.  (No one has central heating, but a few places we stayed had little portable oil heaters in the rooms)  It’s a very cheery place and the folks who run it are super nice.  Driss, one of the managers (?) met us at the medina gate with a cart to haul our bags, and on the walk to the guesthouse he was shouting out sights that we were passing by, and important waypoints that we should remember to help us orient ourselves.  He was super friendly and helpful with anything we could possibly need in Fes.  The breakfast was very good and plentiful. We only stayed there for one night, as it was a last-minute add-on for us and we had already booked another place for the next 3 nights, but we wished we could have just stayed there the whole time. The other place was a bit fancier but a lot more expensive and not nearly as friendly.

An excellent and friendly place to stay

I booked one night at this restaurant for 16€ and they wrote me asking me to cancel the reservation because the price of that room was 80€ and there had been an error in the prices.Because I consider that it was not a customer's mistake and that they should keep the reservation, they finally cancelled it.I checked the price for other nights and I found that room for 60€, not 80€.

Be careful if you make reservations.

Yes, the riad was beautiful and a very nice place to stay,  the receptionist Driss was wonderful,  went out of his way to make you feel at home, thankyou Driss 😀

Joli Riad very well located in the heart of Medina. The hospitality and services are of high quality. The rooms are nice and clean. Thanks to Max to Leila and Ptisam for their kindness and advice.

We finished the year 2018 and started 2019 in this establishment. Ideally located in the heart of Medina, this Riad offers an undeniable price of quality service. In the heart of the medina

We stayed in Dar Iman for four nights during a couple trip and we loved it. Max is very good counsellor and all the staff are in the small care.

Very good foot on the ground in the heart of the medina

We left as a family of eight, including a baby, and we were very well received. Just a little surprise that the owner didn't speak French. The Riad is very well located in the medina to do as much walking as possible. The staff is very attentive. Thank you to Leila for the gorgeous couscous and the very well-provided breakfasts, thank you also for the discovery of the traditional hamman by the Moroccans. The staff were very attentive to turn on the heater every night so that we could have a good temperature room on our return, important when traveling with a baby who was already sick. Then the discovery of the tannery with a contact from the Riad, top! Thank you!

Very good situation and services

The Dar Iman was the pick of the places I stayed at recently in Morocco.  It's a traditional riad with rooms facing the inner courtyard encrusted with wall-to-wall zellij.  Hence there's a feeling of intimacy and shelter from the outside world.  There's a nice view from the rooftop of the surrounding medina.  Breakfast is good and fresh, with a different selection each day, but always great coffee.

Max is a welcoming, helpful and informative host.  He arranged for transport from the Ville Nouvelle, a good idea because motor traffic can't penetrate the medina and the driver walks you to the front door.  He drew a sketch map of the vicinity for me, recommending nearby eateries (try Chez Rachid).

On my stay in mid-December I was the sole guest but trust that by now (Christmas) this riad will be busy because it deserves it.  An excellent stay.

Maximum respect

Have just spent 3 1/2  weeks in Morocco 10 days in Fes really got to feel both the place and the People …  
Greatly helped by where I stayed, the helpful advice the wonderful food … 
I‘m a vegetarian, let me add the three people I was traveling with weren’t … never before have I left saying I’m going to miss the food… 
Max the owner excelled plus told me he still had 34 recipes I hadn’t tasted… 
You guessed it I’m definitely going back… The Riad was very well situated just a short walk from the main street…
Loved the passing parade, the colour, also got to witness the care the people take if like us you're there for more than a few days ..
I was in a wheel chair and the Driver Max recommend was so thoughtful.
 I loved  Dar Iman, great atmosphere, stylish at the same time you felt at home …large room clean.. Rooftop getaway …
As you can tell I can’t find a fault!  Everyone Max recommended was just like him friendly very good at there job… Went the extra mile… and more…
Max also recommended where to stay on the rest of our trip the Desert, Atlas Mountain,Marrakech,Essaouira (Bob Marley is still alive and well) Chefchaouen.
Next visit I would like to stay overnight in the Mountains the rock formations and the feeling was like nothing I’ve ever felt before.

With kindness and care, our host Max and Moroccan Staff provided our small group with
a clean and safe environment, wholesome meals with special attention to our vegetarian member, going to extraordinary effort in arranging our extended tour to other cities, and leaving us with a deep and memorable experience of the culture and people of this land.
