Riad Family Samnoun

My family and I have spent two and a half days in Fes and we stayed at the home of Abdu, Karrima and their mother who always cared for our comfort and provided us with tips and help to move around Medina.

Perfect place to stay.

The structure is still partly under construction, but very promising. The view from the terrace is spectacular (a really authentic fragment on the heart of the medina of Fes, with the mosque in front, magnificently lit in the evening).

Very promising Riad (partly under construction), fantastic staff.

We went to another accommodation to ask where it was (we were 40 minutes walking and it was almost night), the receptionist of the other Riyadh offered us a phone call to the number that appeared in the booking and we did not get it. We were forced to spend the first night in another accommodation because they did not recommend us to go alone for hours.

We cancelled the booking while in Fez.

We were five friends who were traveling to Morocco for the first time.We booked this Riyadh and had a problem with the taxi, tried to contact them to explain how to get there and they didn't answer our calls, it was getting dark and we had to stay away because we couldn't get in touch with them.The next day they cancelled our reservation and when we finally managed to talk to them our scream and they treated us fatal, they said we couldn't stay and they left us stranded without a hotel to stay and we talked very badly.

The worst service in history.

When my dad and I arrived in Fes we were welcomed by Abdou who took us to the riad. His sister and mother are living in the riad and were very kind. Our room was nice but the towels and toilet paper were missing upon arrival and we had to ask them for it. The riad is located in a quiet little alley. However, there can be noise coming from the other rooms. The address given on booking.com and TripAdvisor is not correct and you should surely communicate with Abdou through WhatsApp. The breakfast was very nice and included eggs, muffins, homemade donuts and some type of salty pancakes, bread, cream cheese, olives, yoghurt, grapefruit or peach jam, green tea with fresh mint and coffee.

What a beautiful place! The atmosphere is great. Room was small, very high, but warm.
Bed sheets were very clean and smelled nice. That's very important for me.
Two bathrooms are a huge advantage!
The owners are really nice and helpful.

We stayed at the home of Tamo, Abdul and Karima for five days and every day there was a pleasant surprise from the hosts.They were constantly waiting for us to make our stay in Fez pleasant, comfortable and fun.The spectacular breakfast, the family atmosphere as if it were our home.We will definitely return.We were recommended by our children who had previously stayed at the Samnoun family home and always talk about them as if they were our family too.Thank you Tamo, Abdul and Karima, we look forward to you in our home whenever you like.

A very authentic accommodation, a wonderful welcome, a brief address to know. You will be in the heart of a lively neighbourhood, at the end of an alley, quiet but close to everything.

Very nice room for the price, very clean and very welcoming. typical of the old medina, and very well located, with a terrace, a beautiful view The family is really at your service She does what is necessary to make your stay more pleasant

3 nights stay at the Family Samnoun riad

The facilities offered on the website have nothing to do with reality: no hammam (a bathroom for 10 people!), no terrace (you can climb to the crowded, unwelcoming roof, by a steep staircase, dangerous for children), no meeting room! open room on the living room (separated by a curtain), so we hear everything! A bathroom and toilet for several people! Wait 10 hours for lunch! A street so difficult to find, inaccessible by car, in the middle of the medina, it can be because there is a lot of movement! Positive: friendly owners, a typical excellent lunch! acceptable cleanliness. We only stayed a sum instead of 7!!!
