The check-in was slow because they commented on the reservation and got to their e-mail.There was no hot water, the pillows were dirty and as their rooms were very close together, the noise of the adjacent rooms was a lot.

I didn't like it.

The location is bad, the room are not keep the best way, they over charge me for 2 extra days and because I didn't ask for a receipt I was no able to claim it.  They do this on purpose, because once you back home is difficult to get document.  Make sure you get a document in this place.

Nothing is well done

A somewhat retired hotel in the center, if you don't have a car, clean, breakfast, but not fancy, hot water even if it takes a while to get out.

Very quiet.

It's an excellent hotel, I liked it very much, good care from the staff, very friendly and helpful, very good location, the breakfast is rich and the dining room is nice, everything super clean, the bed is the best, luxurious beds!!!

Unforgettable 

Very close to the historical,center.  Only 8 to 10 minutes walking.Breakfast was not included in our reservation but we ended up having breakfast there every morning. So, it was pretty good.The bed was good, the room was clean.  However, the bathroom was small.The gardens and the courtyard were enchanting.The only drawback for people with difficulty walking is that the last part of the road going to the hotel is rough.We would go back any time and we would recommand it to our friends.

Beautiful gardens

This place is charming and friendly. The staff is very nice and helpful and the garden is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxing. What a wonderful spot to spend a weekend! :)

Delightful

The location is hidden and hard to walk up the hill. Bring good hiking shoes to walk to the hotel cause I ruin my feet and knees. The night guys keeps laughing for no reason. I ask him about the WiFi and he gave me the weaker WiFi pass word. The hotel uses two different WiFi and he kept laughing and I asked about the WiFi. I ended up using all my data. The bed smelled like feces .  I got itchy on Christmas Eve. The towel were nicely folded but it made me itchy as well. The room has no safe so I had to take my valuables with me. I checked out on Christmas Day and found a safer hotel and cleaner room.

Bed bugs and hill ruin my feet and ankles

Hotel with a very warm atmosphere thanks to the patio with many well-groomed plants. A coffee in the jungle is very soothing. The attractive rooms with a rustic colonial feel, very clean. Very close to the center and with parking. A very attractive hotel in quality/price. No pretends to be of great luxury, yet very cozy, fulfills the mission of rest and tranquility.

The place is old, but nice, with a remodeled section, it is full of plants, they should pay more attention to the cleaning since the white pillows of the bed were dirty with makeup, as well as the mattress.

Quiet, good location

They kept the used sheets from the last guest.  Dirty, pubic hair and hair from past guests and greasy bread crumbs on them and inside the pillow covers.  BOTH BEDS! Sheets smell bad. Dirty bed covers.  I had to help the night watcher change the bed linens. The mattress cover was disgusting.  Oxidized bodily fluids. JUST WASH THEM! Lowest quality toilet paper. Only one soap bar, bad quality.  Cheap packet of shampoo.  They give you the bare minimum, lowest quality products.  Shower not within minimum measurements, too narrow! Only warm water at best. My room was Badly kept. 

THEY ARE NOT TAKING GOOD CARE OF THEIR PARROTS!!!! They need more than sunflowers seeds to be healthy. (Fresh fruit, vegetables, other nuts and fresh water).  Being in a cage is bad enough!

  Strict policies, but they do not live up to their own standards.  They give you notice that they are free of any responsibilities on any situation presented on their premessis but charges you penalties and fees at their discretion.  50% cancellations fee.  I didn't get any welcome, just got presented with my bill when I arrived.

   Waited for the lobby reception next morning until 11:00 a.m. to sort out what had happened the day before and settle my next night stay, so decided to stop waiting and come back afterwards.  NO receptionist until 3:00 p.m.!  I decided to get my things out of the room to avoid further uncomfortable situations and misunderstandings. A waitress trying to make amends, showed me another room which was a lot better except for the dog excrement on our way to the room.  Staff is nice enough but with restrictions in making decisions as it seems. The guest bathroom is rough and pretty bad quality.

 I felt uncomfortable. My room standard was inferior in comparison to its rate, not considering all the inconveniences. 

   They jumped to conclusions and assumed I was leaving.  In the end for me to settle the situation at hand I had to talk to the owner who walked in WARNING in a defensive bad attitude, that he did not wanted to be rude to me which was TOTALLY uncalled for.  Everyone until that point was civil. The owner was taking everything VERY personal and UNPROFESSIONALLY, with a bad attitude not wanting to hear any of it, not wanting to resolve any situation, and eventually behaving in a rude macho style towards me trying to make things personal, making things up, and twisting his incomplete knowledge to his favor.

Maybe I was the exception... I've stayed in less expensive and way better hotels in MUCH better locations in San Miguel.  No value for money at all.
