La atención muy buena, en un lugar seguro, las habitaciones cómodas, nos quedamos en una habitación con baño privado y estuvo limpio, las camas limpias y también muy cómodas. Tienen una cocina amplia, te atienden muy bien, y áreas comunes también muy bonitas.

We had a great experience with service, in a safe place, with comfy rooms, we were at a private room with bathroom. There´s a big kitchen, and common areas are so cool. its kind of far from downtown, but you can get there walking..

Excelente hostal con gran ambiente/ Excellent hostel and good vibes

I have no idea how this place is ranked so high on tripadvisor.  Im usually not a person to complain but this place has some serious issues. 

-The entre second And third floors real of rotting Food And garbage.  Its disgusting.  I went to the "game room" a few times And it is completely deserted And dirty.

-The hostel is dark, dreary And devoid of any semblance of fun, Friendliness or socializing.  The lights are always out.  

-My Food disapppeared even though it was clearly marked with my name And date.

-Says "no smoking" yet the employees smoke.  

I feel like this place may have been great at one point but management is now completely absent And this place has gone severley downhill.

Would not recommend

It's a nice, stylish hostel, convenient location, price. The room is more expensive on arrival, the booking is more expensive. I slept in a double-decker double-bed for the first time in my life)) The clothes, the towels are clean, the room is not big, the staff is very polite. There is no parking, but there is plenty of room on the street.

It's a great hostel.

Where to begin??? 

I requested a bed in the WOMEN'S dorm — but came back that evening to find they had given a MAN one of the beds in the women's room! Later, a male employee entered the dorm room while I was in it without even knocking or giving any notice.

Lukewarm showers, dirty kitchen, dark and cold. They hand you your bedding when you arrive and you make your own bed up — no big deal, but why do they only give you one sheet??? 

Since they have laundry service I left some laundry to be done... which came back clean but very, very wrinkled  : [ 

Lastly, when I left (for a much better hostel) I unfortunately forgot a piece of Guatemalan fabric in the room. When I went back the next morning to get it, it was gone — even though there were no other guests sharing the dorm. That means it was almost certainly taken by a staff member. While I realize it's a common occurrence to have something get taken this way, it's not always the case — and one more thing that made my stay at Yaxkin quite regrettable.

Very poor experience — NOT recommended!

The place is nice, well maintained and the price is very good. The bad news is that it is not a central place and also from a very early age many cars and trucks pass by, which makes the hostel a noisy place.

Accommodation in San Cristóbal

He stayed in yaxkin for more than three weeks and the service they provided me is very good, I say it is excellent the people there are very friendly and the place is comfortable, the rooms are clean and the variety of activities are many, thanks to their staff.

The staff is very friendly, even with my dog, excellent location, very clean rooms, overall the whole building and location is good, the prices are affordable.

Happy with life because they accept pets!!

The Yaxkin hostel has very comfortable and clean rooms, and overall the place has good facilities, with several different areas to relax. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town, which was no trouble at all given how flat it is. The internet was really reliable. It has a good balance of being social but not a 'party' hostel. It was a bit noisy on Saturday night with people getting ready to go out but that is to be expected. Don't hesitate to recommend this place.

Great facilities, clean, helpful staff

The first person I met at the hostel was a person whose number starts with C and ends with arlos. From that moment on I knew I had to stay. And from that moment on I started the camaraderie. Then I met Andrés and Gibrán, other characters. Not to mention that from the first day I started learning from these three people. I don't want to go into much detail because, honestly, I'm lazy, but if they get the chance to meet them I'm sure they'll end up appreciating them as much as I do. The place, the place is amazing. Spacious, clean, interesting. Good view... Good-FUCKINVISTA Las camas are comfortable and... although they improvise a little; if you can put your hammock in the bag... you can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can-can

Both for guests and volunteers.

Excellent place to meet San Cristobal and Chiapas. Hostel comfortable, clean and super pleasant. Stay alone for a few days and end up having a good time....
