The rooms of the hotel are not closed, the rooms on the second floor are dangerous, the Sritas who attend do everything for that very quickly, the televisions do not work, hotel Bien ubicado, comfortable rooms, elegant other hotel.

Do not close the doors.

The hotel is located about three blocks from the hotel's main building, an excellent option, comfortable and very accessible.The rooms are clean and picturesque, with a living room and a spare room on the second floor.The attention was kind.

Good service, picturesque and comfortable...

It was a pleasant business visit, I stayed for three nights and wish it had been more.Enjoy the warmth and kindness, the lighting of the cathedral is spectacular, the diversity of places to visit.

It's a beautiful place, close to everything.

The room was beautiful, clean, the staff was friendly. The room was rustic but cozy....with a kitchen in the bottom... · All I can add is that it would need a few things: a bathroom upstairs, a microwave, an electric grill and a cafeteria and utensils, cups and dishes to heat food since there was nothing like that in the room.

Estancia acogedora

I spent three night there. The rooms were small, but clean, and in the location I wanted. The staff was pleasant and helpful.
My needs were a bed, and a shower. Although the bed was upstairs from the balance of the room, is was comfortable.
The bathroom was very small, but the shower stall was really nice.
Best part for me was 3 nights for $105 USD. 
One small thing, the morning coffee was Nescafe. I do not recommend it, but up one block and turn left and there was a very nice coffee shop with excellent coffee.
I would stay there again.

What I was looking for

First off have to say I loved the staff, they went above and beyond. Unfortunately the room was not as booked and was uncomfortable in many respects. I booked a room for two adults with two beds and a kitchen. The hotel advertises that the property has a shared kitchen and rooms have kitchenettes. I arrived to an open loft bedroom, with one bed, not kitchen, no shared kitchen, a microwave in the hall. No fridges.. Oh wait, the first night they shuffled me off to a hotel down the block as they over booked. It was cold small, no blind to block the court yard lights and you could hear cannons going off and shaking the building every hour. Back to the Refugio, the property would not address the shortfalls with Expedia and Expedia was no help at all. Generally feel ripped off. Am disappointed with the owners of this property.

Not as advertised

We rented room #7, a suite located on the first floor. Very nice room with old brick and stone walls. Large enough with a very comfortable king bed and nice bedding and comfortable pillows. The only drawback is that it's VERY wet and very dark as a room (we were there on the first days of March 2013). Cold in the afternoon to the point where we were afraid to go back to the room to change at the end of the day. But when we went to bed at night, with a good doughnut, we slept very well. The staff was nice, nothing more. The geographical situation is perfect, 2 minutes from the Centro. There was internet in the lobby but not in sight, the stone thicker room. Very good price: 520 pesos.
