I stayed at this place with a friend on our recent visit to Guanajuato. I agree that the pillows could be changed for something better, as it looks like they have nothing on the inside. The TV is of the little ones and the channels do not look good. It caused me to fall into the bathroom, as at the entrance there is a huge escalator (which I do not see), so much of the space was very small and the bathroom was very beautiful, and the bathroom was also very nice, but we could not find a nice view of the city.

Good service, and views.

This small family-owned hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from Mercado Hidalgo and 5 minutes from la alondiga. Go in the opposite direction and it's about 7 minute walk to el museo de las momias. It is affordable and right across the bus stop, which for $5-6 pesos takes you to any of the other sights located in the historic center. I always opt to do like the locals and do the buses (camiones) rather than the taxis. A 5 min taxi ride will cost you $40-50 pesos. 
This place is safe and always has a night guard and gets locked at night. There are several options, you can rent a room and share a common bathroom, or rent  a room with a private bathroom. The rooms and decor are very simple, but they are clean and quiet. If you get a room with a private bathroom, you will probably be staying  at the top in the balcony and the views are breathtaking and full of color. One word of advice, this town is built on hills. To get to this hotel, you do need to enter a street with steps, if you're young, you'll do fine. However, if you're traveling with older adults or even children, then consider staying somewhere else, but in general, this city is full of steep hills some with stone steps.

Affordable family-owned hotel near historic center

The place is simple, clean and functional, a bed, a bathroom and wi-fi.  Not in the center of things, not pretty but the price is right if atmospherics don't matter to you.  Friendly people.  Main complaint is that they keep the front door locked, and every time someone wants to come in a loud doorbell reverberates through the entire place.  As an older person who turns in early, this is an issue for me.

Hello everyone. the story is that in my last vacation I stayed at this place. it is a small but cozy place. the staff is very friendly with the guests and the place is very clean in general. as far as the location is concerned it is close to the center of Guanajuato so walking is no problem. the price is a cheap hotel relative to the place. if you like to go on vacation it is an excellent option to stay.

The treatment of the cleaning and the price.

This place has maybe 10 rooms. The rooms are very small. You wouldn't want to hang out or spend time in them except to sleep or bathe. The staff is very friendly and the location is great, just a short walk from all the action in Guanajuato. There is a rooftop terrace that has a very nice view and a few bench swings to relax on.

The rooms are kept clean and, all in all, we had a pleasant experience here. I feel like I should mention that the pillows are really rolled up foam egg carton pieces like you may have found in old hospital beds with a pillow case around them. As such, they are ok as pillows, but not great.

BUDGET and LOCATION

The location is central, you can walk to the hustle & bustle of the shops and bars in 10 minutes or get a very cheap taxi if you're unable, or are feeling lazy!  The staff are really friendly and the building is authentic.  The view from the terrace is stunning and the swings are great for relaxing in the evening with the City below.  We had room 11 which was best for a couple I think as it was right on the terrace, whereas the rooms below were a bit stuffy.  It was fantastic value and I highly recommend it!

A hidden treasure in a beautiful city

I was traveling with my husband, my parents and my brother. They gave us a dirty, old, unattended room, the sink only came out with BOLLY WATER! And it was tiny, claustrophobic x us 5. So my husband and I asked to move to another room (which of course we had to pay for apart) that was a little more decent but then we found out that when we showered, the whole bathroom was lit up because the bathroom was tiny and there wasn't even a tent around the shower.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

This small hotel is located at the western edge of Guanajuato's centre, just a few minutes walk from the Mercado Hidalgo. This perfect location allows one to enjoy the centre's busy and festive atmosphere while getting a quiet nights sleep. All guests enjoy access to the terraza on the roof which offers a stunning view of Guanajuato. Some of the rooms also come with a view. The rooms are simple and clean, the hot water is hot and the wi-fi is good and reliable. This hotel is run by a friendly family ready to offer advice con how to best enjoy one's stay in Guanajuato. We felt so at home that we  extended our stay three nights.
